Just got back home! Drove 6 hours. Were first in line on Friday, had an amazing time with some of the best beers Ive ever had (DAT WOOD YA HONEY NUTZ WAS A SEXUAL EXPERIENCE) and stocked up on bottles for the winter. Brad and Art knock it out of the park again! Way to go guys and congrats on 10 years of kick ass beers.

That's awesome! I'm so jealous! Jackie O's is one of the best breweries in the country!

Wood ya honey nutz might have been the best beer I've had all year. Jebus Christmas.

    What an amazing weekend.
Met so many good people and had so many good beers.

Wood Ya Honey Nuts, Ginger Cucumber Berliner, Smoked Sour, & Hogwash were probably my biggest surprises. All amazing.

Blending Oro & Woodburner last night was insane though.

The Wood Ya Honey Nutz was out of this world. I couldn't even tell Wood Ya Honey was the base. All three beers they bottled were very good too. Elaborative Three was another favorite from the weekend. So creamy! That one tapped out very quick. I'm glad I got to try all of them. They certainly know how to throw a party. Thank you Jackie O's!

Wood ya Honey nutz was amazing. Along with that cranberry orange berliner that tasted like a beer-mosa! Both absolutely amazing stuff. Anyone get to try the Cellar Cuvee 10? Sounded awesome.

Also wondering if white app is always with coffee or not so much. Reason I ask is oro blanco had strong coffee flavor which I didn't remember from having the white app previously and white app was the base for that. I enjoyed the coffee addition but my pops didn't care for it. Really just curious...

Is there a schedule or just kind of random? I've had dark apparition and roo negro

Ok, not tryin to rock the boat here, just curious...
Has the Mystic Mama recipe changed since it's been canned? I'm pretty certain it has, IMO. Not that it's not good, but I grabbed a 6er last week and it looks and feels totally different. This recent batch I bought is straw colored with a thinner mouthfeel. From what I remember (ticked it on 10/29/14), it was definitely a pretty copper/caramel color with a nice, chewy mouthfeel. I even asked 2 of my closest beer buddies (without loading the question) and they agreed.

    What say you BAs?

Was the beer the same age both times you tasted it?

It has changed slightly over time. Caramel malts have been reduced, the beer has become a bit drier, but mainly the hops have changed due to supply issues. Compared to almost 14 months ago, the beer is both lighter in body and color.

Why can't every brewer be like Brad! Man, you are so upfront with your customer base and treat us so damn well it is insane in today's mind set of customer service (which is lacking in most industries). We raved about Oro Negro so what happened? You brewed a ton and bottled it for us. People fell over in love for Champion Ground. Next thing you know another batch is being brewed to fill the mouths of adoring fans! I hope you are making a healthy living because you deserve to the way you bend over backwards for us! I look forward to continuing my support of this brewery by buying the beers and sending them to my friends and family to spread the love across the country! Love this brewery, their attitude towards the customer and of course the beer they produce!

Thanks for the transparency- pretty refreshing in today's society! At least now I know I'm not crazy.
Where most breweries would leave us to bicker and speculate about something like this, Jackie O's tactfully sets the record straight. Again, thank you.

Agreed, we had mandala this saturday at a party, growler fill, it was the beer of the night.

We also had Naja from the bottle release in august, it didn't seem the same after waiting on it and fell a little short. I loved it on draft when we had it on site, and I opened a bottle soon after the august trip, tasted great, but the one we had Saturday night fell short.

Spices will continue to diminish over time, allowing the base beer and barrel to emerge. Just like coffee beers, it will perpetually transform over any period of aging.
