Anyone from Columbus going for the anniversary party? I'm looking to carpool .

 

I'm not super worried - I assume this was in the works for a bit and contingencies are in place. Brad being engaged to someone based in Cali, it was pretty easy to see the writing on the wall, at least from an outside perspective. They also posted that Brad is also staying on in an advisory role or something and still doing some of the blending.

 

I'm guessing the Anniversary Party went well since I haven't heard anything from all the trolls from the other thread.

But yeah, seems like everyone that made the trek was able to get what they wanted with ease.

 

I wish the other thread would have kept going, I’m basically only here when I get alerts when someone bumps the other thread or there’s a new release like today.

Also Seth and Chris have been brewing for years at a JOs along with Brad and Brad will still have a hand with some of the barrel stuff since that was his baby.

So as was mentioned in the thread last year, there was confirmation today that Who Cooks For You is going to be a year-round can. I was just wondering if anyone knows if they've switched to Conan for this beer too. I was under the impression that the initial can run used the same house yeast as Mystic, et. al. and was just unfiltered with oats added (with Mandala Citra being the first to feature a different yeast), but the last few times I've had it on draft it's been quite a bit more turbid.

 

Anybody know if reserve sold out today? I assumed it would, but my day just opened up tomorrow and I'd head down if there is any left. Thanks!

 

Pretty sure they are using London III in Who Cooks. But I'm not positive.

Is Appervation an annual release? And if so, when should we expect in 2019?

 

The first batch was released in May 2017, the second batch in September 2018. So not really much of a set schedule, I'd expect end of this year sometime.

Anyone in here actually live in the Athens area? I keep thinking I need to relocate there from Toledo just for easier access to the brews.

I'm curious what the price point will be on this, their 12.7oz bottles are 5.99. I'm hoping this isn't a ~$24 4 pack.
