Good to hear, the reviews that are coming in are really positive. I’m heading down this weekend to pickup. I wasn’t able to make it to the Anniversary party but I heard some good things about the rye dark ap, looking to pick some of those up too. Anybody have any input?

Rye DA was my favorite of the anniversary beers. I'd highly suggest picking some up if still available, which I believe they are.

Really happy with the membership decision. There have been a couple hiccups (technical things with the website), but Sophia has been awesome and the Granola is simply incredible.

Love Rye Dark App--definitely one of my favorite DA varieties I've had.

I think I’m going to take a Granola to the dome tonight. Really excited to try it. Have always missed it when it’s been on at the last couple Anny parties

    Hello Ohio Advocates.

There is a chance I will be passing through Ohio (headed towards Michigan coming from Texas) beginning of July. It has always been an issue getting to Jackie O's - I've actually never been, but have always wanted to go to Athens.

Honestly, its just so goddamn out of the way from ... well ... everywhere.

That said, if I cannot convince my wife to let us detour in Athens for a night, what is the VERY BEST bottle shop to find JO's in Cincy, Dayton, Toledo (and even Columbus if its a "must visit" shop)???

I'd be hunting primarily for BA Oro Negro & Spirit Beast - without question these are my two favorites.

However, I'd also be ISO Black Maple (and variants), Oil of Aphro (and variants), Dark Apparition (and variants), Black Falls, and many of their sours (i.e. Gingham, Nectar, et al.) Thanks ya'll!

You'll thank me later, and so will your wife. This is the "amusement park" of supermarkets with an unfathomable alcohol section. Check out their website: http://junglejims.com/

They'll have the last handful of bottle releases available. Jackie O's isn't as plentiful in state as it was a year ago when you might find a dozen different bottles; they've since starting distro'ing bottles (not cans, though) far, and wide. I'd bet Jungle Jim's has around a half dozen at all times, though, even now.

But, yeah, if you wouldn't mind a 5 or 6 hour detour, Athens has so many carryout options available, you'll need to decide what NOT to get- unless a $400 tab is no big deal to you.

Agreed 100%. Jungle Jim's is awesome. And if you like hot sauce you are in for a treat.

Just so you don't get your hopes up, I'm pretty sure Spirit Beast is not distributed, so your only chance to get this is a visit to Athens

It only shows up at a couple of restaurants in Columbus that is involved/partnered in the blending. Local Cantina and Gallos.

Might get lucky at a Lizardville, if you hit the off chance that they have a JO event when you're passing thru. But yeah, Spirit Beast isn't hitting normal JO distro.

Spirit Beast hit most (all?) of the established shops in Cincy. I was able to pick up one at my regular store, my brother grabbed one at his, and then I saw it at another place a few days later. But, to the point of this, they are long gone now.

Was surprised the bottles went on the website early (I completed my purchased at 8:54a). Worked out well as I had a 9am work meeting.
