Jackie O's Brewery Update

    I was just killing some time and ran across this on Jackie O's website. I know these won't be ready for the December 2013 release....which I am getting excited for. But I am curious to see what everyone thinks about the upcoming Jackie O's beers for 2014 and what we might be getting at some of the releases!

    Not a huge fan of smoke flavor in beers, but I'll definitely give them a shot and any more Brick Kiln, especially aged in some kind of barrel, is ALWAYS welcome.

    That said, if they're getting this crazy just this far down the road with the new facility, can you imagine when they really get a handle on things? It goes without saying that I CANNOT wait to see what they do.

    Haven't had the maple Nitro, but it sounds amazing. I am going to try to make it up there in a couple weeks in an attempt to hold me over until the release.

    I hope they keep doing more barrel aged sours for 2014. I think those are their best beers. I love the barrel aged stouts too and hope they experiment with some different flavors (fruits, spices, etc). Hopefully, if they get more recognition maybe they can get....dare I say it.....pappy barrels.

    Also, any thoughts on what beers will be available at the 12/14 release?

    I would guess Cab Cherry right? No idea about others but they haven't released this years yet have they?

    I have had a few beers by Jackie O's when I visited the pub in July. My favorite was mandala citra. That blew my mind. I'm not an IPA guy and I loved it.

    I haven't seen the cab cherry, I hope that is one of them. I have been to the December releases before and all the beers are great. I would love for them to have a cellar cuvée and I hope they bring back one of my favorites, slim pickin's. Other than that I hope for a surprise of awesomeness!

    Double would be great. It seems like they typically will do some of the member beers as part of the normal releases the next year. I just hope they open up the membership for more people....I was such an idiot not to do it originally.

    They are discontinuing the Staff Memberships after this year.

    Probably only 5 to 6 bottles will be released on 12/14. Funky South Paw, Berliner Weisse, Barrel aged Providence, Rum Barrel Oil, not sure about the last one or two. 40+ different drafts.

    Really? That sucks. I was talking to one of the bar tenders at the last release and he mentioned that they were thinking about opening the staff membership up to another 100 folks. I was pretty excited for it.

    Those sound great! You guys have been killing it, the releases seem to be better everytime! Excited to see what the other two beers for that release will be!
