There is no inherent trade value for the beer itself. Much more value lies in being happy about something you want to try (and try to trade for) and for making someone else happy who wants to try Brown Recluse.
yeah im just on that Jackie-Os bandwagon right now...just want to try everything they have....i know there were only 300-400 bottles of this released....this is the nature of their releases..i don't see their beers getting traded alot...so I was just curious
Most of them shouldn't be too hard to get imo if they're from a recent release. People will try and ask the world (Blabaer, BT, KH, Armand'4, etc, etc) - stuff that really is more expensive, at least equally as rare/in demand, etc. Sometimes these get done, but I'd wager they typically do not. As such, many people just trade theirs to regular partners or for solid offers. Offer up a brewery-only release for it and see what happens. Recluse was last summer/spring though so that one may be tougher than some. Also, bottle limits rarely (read: I can't remember ever atm) top 300 bottles... but this alone isn't indication of value, as 75-150 people buy all of those bottles, some with mules, so some people do walk away with 3, 4, 8 bottles of the stuff they came for.
Threw mine in a box for my regular trade partner because he was really jazzed about trying it. I think I got it for an Olde Rabbit's Foot.
I actually got bit by one of those ************s at Ft. Sill years ago during basic....On the side of my head. Being that my head was shaved, no bandage would stick so they had to use a wrap to keep the bandage in place. Henceforth, I was "Private Rambo" to all the DS's. Fuck that beer.
