So happy to have House Lager 16oz 6packs in CT now. Paid 9.50-9.99 so far. Probably my new go-to to keep in the fridge.

Odd that Total Wine just 10 minutes from the brewery doesn't have it yet.

They probably dont stock it because they can't get their hands on 6 month old cans.

Bring Back Mass Rising!! :-) Excess is good, but really does not compare.

I was bummed about Mass Rising at first as well, but fresh Excess is really good. I'm sure I'd love fresh mass rising cans as much if not more, but frankly it had been so long since I'd seen/had fresh Mass Rising, that it's hard to compare. Having Excess in a format/price point that is really going to move (It's just a buck or two more for 4 pint cans than Mass Rising was for 4 twelve-ounce bottles) and always be fresh will be awesome.

Excess IPL is pretty comparable to Trillium to my palate and getting 64oz in 16oz can format for $12.99 definitely beats $20+ for anything in a 64oz growler at trillium.

I won't stop buying trillium, but I can see myself replacing a growler fill with one of these four packs for sure

Fort Point is $15 for a 64 ounce growler.

Fort Point is one of the best bargains in beer. But I read the prior post as drawing a comparison between growler prices for the IPAs at $18, which line up closer in style/taste/abv to Excess.

I don't see it materially altering my buying habits, but man how much nicer is it to get FOUR pint cans that I can enjoy in four separate sittings for $12 vs. one $12 bottle of a DDH beer that I have to enjoy in one sitting. Even if I do prefer the DDH beer, the cost/format proposition from Jack's Abby is really hard to beat. We're spoiled here for sure.

Just want to chime in here and say the 3/11/16 canning of Excess is tasting absolutely amazing.

    Great job JA!

Going to be in Mass next week and wondering if there's any chance that BA Framinghammer variant bottles will be available.

I have enjoyed the JA beers that I've gotten here in town. I don't think I've seen it canned but I hope we get that. I want a fresh pilsener that I can drink out of a can on a hot day.

I haven't seen the excess cans yet but I did pick up a ring of Calyptra cans yesterday. My beach cooler and those will be friendly this summer.

It is looking like we will have regular BA Framinghammer plus a Brandy BA Framinghammer available next week.

+++100. Way awesome. Will this brew see regular rotation? This week my fridge saw, Long Trail space juice, Wormtown be hoppy, Night Shift 87 and Cape Ann dead eye. As much as I like the 87 and be Hoppy, Excess seemed to have the edge this week.
