Beard clearly needs a trim :grimacing:

Hoponious wort, ale yeast, Citra & Mosaic dry hopping, brewed simply as a way to introduce a new yeast to a familiar beer. Even some of our ardent lager people on staff have enjoyed it...

Tried the IPA on Wednesday. Pretty damn good. Think I also spotted @Jason there around lunch time.

Really frikin' good. For a pilot batch, it was great. Can't wait to have more of Sprindale beers at the beer hall.

Just had pilot #1 - WOW. If this class of beer gets distributed with Jacks Abby quantities and prices, look out everybody else.

I will echo the sentiments that the Pilot IPA was damn tasty. Unfortunately for @cmurphycode it sounds like they've no plans to distribute their beers when doors open. I am curious how long that will last. Either way, another beer stop to look forward to in my hometown!

If you haven't had the BA Brewery Maker yet, go get one or two or three. This beer is exceptional. The only "flaw" is that it's still a little strongly carbed up. I'd love for it to mellow out and lose some of that carbonation. It's a fantastic beer. I get that it's a lager wine, but it's an english style barleywine, definitely.

TL;DR? It's great now, but I'd also recommend stashing one.

Does anyone know if the Springdale Pilot is still pouring?

Yep, #1 is still flowing for the moment.

If you happen to miss out on it, it's currently backed up by Pilot #2, which is brewed with a different ale strain.

@JacksAbbyBrewing When are those sour pumpkin smoke & dagger bottles going to be available?

    Jack’s Abby - 3X Hoponius Union Bottles & Mass Rising 16oz Cans

Today we get to see some exciting new packaging coming from Jack’s Abby. 3X Hoponius Union is an India pale lager that hits 6.5%-AbV (16.9oz bottles) and Mass Rising is a Double IPL that hits 8%-AbV & 100 IBU. This is the new 16oz can and stay tuned for release info.

Interesting... there's been some fantastic batches (they rotate the dry hop) of 3X Hoponius at the brewery. Wonder what they've got planned for that one.

Also, wasn't one of my personal favorites, but I know a few people who will be glad to see that Mass Rising might not be dead after all.

Mass Rising is a great brew. The problem lied with production exceeding demand, causing it to sit on the shelves. Consequently, my take was that they pulled it back from regular rotation to more limited releases (this being the first limited release): smaller production/more preserved quality? Could be wrong, so corrections are welcomed

Kinda weird that they repurposed the Framingham Lager design for 3X HU:

We are not planning on canning a 3x Hoponius. The label was created so we could send draft to states that require label approval for all beers. That is why we just edited an already existing label.

Mainly we felt that Excess was the beer we wanted our year round. Mass Rising will be back in as a seasonal in a 4x16oz can offering.
