Both versions of Spill the Tea are great for summertime drinking.

Cranberry berlinner is a nice easy drinker as well. The strong lager yeast taste from past versions has waned thankfully.

Spill the Tea is an amazing beer. I'm typically not a fan of adjuncts in fresh beers, but the thought of lager + tea sounded really good. Fucking awesome stuff. Total summer crusher.

What interesting is the tea makes the maltyness from lager much more subdued. I wish it wasn't a collab, would love it to be in their summer rotation.

If this has been asked and answered, please forgive; I have too short an attention span to scroll through all these pages...

Are Springdale cans available for sale next door at Jack's when Springdale isn't open? I'm an early-in-the-day kind of guy and I've never managed to be in Framingham when Springdale is open.

Bonus question: has anyone heard anything about Framingham Lager being brewed/bottled again this summer?

Unless they've changed something recently the answer is yes, though they don't necessarily have everything that would be available at Springdale over on the JA side.

Yep, I was there on Saturday and lots of Springdale available next door. First time in the taproom, which is a great place to hang out. Food was very good and fairly priced.

It is a great place to hang out and eat. I've been twice with my family now and both times have been a lot of fun, even for my kids. If this place was closer to me I'd be there all the time.

How about cutting the price for the arcade games in half though?

I haven't been in a few months - do they have pinball by any chance?

At Springdale, yes. Played a bunch of KISS pinball there last month.

Sorry was talking about Jack's Abbey not Springdale. Springdale you can't bring kids unless you are just buying beer and leaving so I haven't spent much time there. I would love to see them change their policy so that kids are welcome in Springdale before evening time (I can understand having no kids welcome in the evening but at like 2 in the afternoon I don't see why not). After eating at JA it would be nice to go for a round and play the video games with the kids. I've never looked at the game costs.

They aren't too steep, but I'd like 50 cents rather than a buck for 1 game of skeeball.

This has come up a few times and I feel like defending it; we chose the option of working with two independetly run family arcade businesses, which gives us the option of rotating games in and out, while ensuring weekly maintenance. Every game is a buck except for the recently refurbished World Cup 94 pin at .75$ a play, 3/2$. Given that we have free shuffleboard, cornhole and board games, we think it's a reasonable tradeoff for games that are always in great condition and can be rotated. For the price of a beer, you can play every game we have.

This is a bit more complicated than a preference for kids. For one, the town is not keen on us even letting kids in the door, as we have no kitchen. Secondly, when we have had kids in for private events, there's little stopping an unattended child from quickly gaining access to our production space. As the beer hall will always be kid-friendly, we don't have any immediate plans to change this policy.

That said, we do our best to accomodate by providing samples and giving attention to all parents who make the trek upstairs, and always will.

Makes total sense on the kids, didn't realize it was more of a safety and town issue than a choice. Granted my kids are 12 and 14 so they won't wander off but the no kitchen issue still kills that. That being said I love the fact that you guys have made the JA beer hall not only family friendly but a place that the whole family can enjoy and is actually excited to go to. The kids usually groan when we say we are stopping by a brewery but they get excited to go to JA, so thanks for that!

The bolded is key to having a pinball machine worth having so that's awesome that you guys (and that gaming company) prioritizes that!

The number of places in the area where you can play pinball AND drink beer is depressingly slim in the Boston area for some reason, so I'm all the more anxious to get back out there.
