So...what's up with Hoponius on Holiday? The description makes it sound like it's just a different hops profile:

But the beer tastes like Polar Seltzer, presumably due to the "natural flavors" mentioned on the back of the can...

Caveat emptor, I know, but if this reappears next year maybe be a bit clearer that this stuff has fruit flavor added by mentioning it on the front of the can and being less coy in the description.

It is a bit oddly worded but I had assumed there was fruit flavor added. The "tropical twist" and "accentuates the tropical fruit flavors" is what had me thinking that. It is certainly not clear though.

Had the exact same experience, right down to the seltzer comparison. I'm not sure where I posted about it at the time, but I wrote something like "this doesn't take like orange juice, it tastes like orange soda".

It was tasty enough, just kind of strange and not what I was expecting.

I really liked the first batch of Holiday but haven't had it since. I'm fairly certain they're adding fruit "essence" or something instead of tossing actual whole or pureed fruits into the tank. At least that's what it tastes like.

Here's the original release Instagram post with a little more info:

I am sorry if there was confusion as to the addition of fruit distillate to Hoponius On Holiday. We did not intend to mislead, but from your feedback, we need to make it more obvious. Next chance we get to update the label we will add something to make it clearer.

When is the Blood Orange Wheat hitting distro? This brief warm weather's got me thinking of the refreshing beer I'll be enjoying on my porch soon.

You should start seeing it in early April.

IMO the Saxony Vienna Lager is spot-on this year. I’ve been critical of it in the past, but this year it’s really a symphony of German hops, semi-sweet malt & a bit of toast to bring it all together. So easy to drink too, preferably in large steins.

Hoo boy, I'll definitely be heading to the brewery to check out that dunkel. Take note, MA brewers: I WILL BUY YOUR DUNKELS.

Instagram story showed Graham Cracker BA Framinghammer being bottled. This is great news.

Yeah that's a great variant - good news.

BTW - anyone try the new dunkel on at the brewery? It's amazing. It tastes like how I wish Smoke and Dagger tasted.

Oh boy, I've been meaning to get to the brewery for some of that but major weather events keep getting in the way. More dunkels!

Is that Dawn of the Dinkel? If so yeah, grabbed a 4pk in Danvers the other night. Pretty tasty. Just the right amount of smokiness

Dawn of the Dunkel. But then there's Dinkel Herb, which I also enjoyed.

Ha! Fat thumbs here! Dawn of the Dunkel showed up in a few stores. Really quite nice.

Haven't seen Dinkel herb but maybe we've stumbled upon a new beer in Dawn of the Dinkel

Would be cool if they has a mosaic-hopped version, then it could be a dank Dinkel or dank Dunkel. Or a hybrid of the two, a dank Dinkel Dunkel.

I'm getting these beers tonight. That was too much fun.
