I hope the 3X HU variants become a more regular thing. Really impressive stuff, up there with the heavy hitters.

Is the base beer the clincher? Or is it the dry hop war?

I tried the Nectarine Sour as part of my flight, and bought a bottle that I enjoyed at home Monday night. Absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to try more. The only downside is the price: $10 per bottle, which is a bit tough to stomach. All of Jack's Abby's sours so far have been phenomenal, however.

for sours, $10 is nothing. any ba framing variants left? or other stout / barley bottles?

Eh, $10 a bottle can still get pricey for anything. When I was there this past weekend, still plenty of BA Framinghammer variants were left!

not for sours. many cost more to make and are in smaller batches. trust me. I drink lots of sours. they kill my wallet lol. thanks on the fram info. small limits ftw!

I am thinking about opening my Framinghammer soon to commemorate 3000 reviews on this site, I have loved pretty much everything I have tried from Jack's Abby so far.

What sours are available in bottles? I thought the new Cuvee was the only one in bottles right now...

The Cuvee is the newest release this week, but they also have a Nectarine Sour and a Cranberry Sour.

In addition to another coming out on the 20th.

Oh and triple dry-hopped Kiwi Rising could be fun...

Stopped into the new Beer Hall on Friday around 4pm (have to do early dinners with our 7 month old). The space is great, really spacious and can hold a lot of people, without feeling crowded. Very kid friendly as well.

The retail space is on the left as you walk in and they are starting to fill it out with tees, sweatshirts, thermals, glassware, hats, etc with the new branding. The bottles and growlers are done out of this section as well. Not all of the beers on tap at the bar are available for growler fills.

We ordered the fennel salami and coppa pizza and it was pretty awesome. The crust was great, a little chewier than Rail Trail, but still crispy - just goodness. The woodfired wings were really tasty as well.

The highlight for beers were the Cuvee sour and the 3x DH Hoponius with Citra. They also had 3x DH HU with Simcoe - but I usually pick up the onion from Simcoe - so not my favorite for DH.

We will be back and probably often.

I actually thought they did a great job with the showcase of Simcoe hops. Over using that hop can make the beer taste like cat piss or a piney/oniony mess. I actually have been impress with Jack's Abby Sours and dry hop series. Maybe the expansion wasn't bad after all. Either way, I'm happy for them and lucky to have them 15 minutes away.

Triple Dry Hopped Hoponious definitely competes with any Trillium that I have had (which is like 6 or 7 of their IPAs). And I agree, when I visited them last summer and when I bought any bottles from them, all of their stuff was super solid.

"We thought we’d switch things up in celebration of all the changes here at Jack’s Abby! No one is forgetting about the classics- Vanilla, Coffee, Cocoa-Nut, and PB&J- we’re just switching gears to bring you something fresh. These new flavors are inspired by some of your favorite barreled projects, some popular holiday treats, and even by the Italians working to help us build the new brewery. We’re not ready to announce all the exact combinations yet, but take a look at the gallery below and let your mouth water at the possibilities!"

    Couple of questions @JacksAbbyBrewing ...

Can we still grab bottles on site at the new pizza place? If so, are they for open consumption?

I assume this place is totally kid-friendly?

It is kid friendly, high chairs and such. I'm almost positive you cannot drink the bottles on premise, but I could be wrong.
