My apologies up front for no pictures.

I did a blind side by side with Weihenstephan's Festbier (bottle) and the collab.

I honestly had a hard time distinguishing them. Too things did stand out to me though. The Weihenstephan Festbier was hoppier (which is surprising considering it's older) and it had FAR better carbonation.

I hope to try Jack's Abby's Munich Fest against the collab and Weihenstephan's Festbier in a can next to the collab next.

Thanks for the tip. I think my best bet to find it without having to make a dedicate trip is the Total Wine in Natick as I'll be in the area when I make my brewery trip next week.

Julio’s in Westboro had a lot a few days ago. Not sure what direction you’re coming from. I’m drinking one now.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'll be coming from a meeting in the 128 loop. If Total Wine in Natick doesn't have it, I'll have to see how desperate I am--and if I can stand any more time on Route 9.

Total Wine was out of stock and I wasn't willing to do any more to chase it down (the car reading 94 degrees helped make that decision a bit easier). I consoled myself with, amongst others, a pack of Anchor porter (somewhat fresh, bottled 4/25/23; surprised they still had any in stock) and rolled the dice on a pack of Willittized 2022 (it was on the bottom shelf and I couldn't resist the price: $13). And then picked up a nice selection of JA from the brewery.

Fun stuff in tap room now. Another new festbier (Munich style export) called Breath of Fest Air. A smoked festbier Fire Fest and A Schwarzbier. All new to me.

Has anyone seen Fest of Both Worlds south of Boston? Specifically Franklin area? I’ve been striking out for a week

Have you tried the Lager Locator on Jack’s site? https://jacksabby.com/lager-locator/

3 places pop up within ten miles of Franklin

    - Pour Richards Wine & Spirits, Franklin
    - Craft Beer Cellar, Norfolk
    - Crafted, Holliston

You could give those places a call/check online.

I know it's a bit of a ride from Franklin, but Wegmans in Northborough had a ton of Fest of Both Worlds over the weekend.

Not that it would be helpful for others, but I don't remember ever seeing so many Jack's Abby beers in NYC — mainly seasonal or special releases. I wonder if it has anything to do with brewing Vliet for Threes.

I wonder if some of this is due to the new pilot system. It seems like they are using the pilot system to brew all of the beer hall exclusives, which I'm guessing would free up capacity on the main brew line for everything they distribute. So more specialty beer to go around for distribution?

It could also be that they are responding to the complaints of the past year about spotty distribution and are getting more than the core lineup to a wider area.

Maybe, but it doesn't explain the high availability of core beers as well. They are everywhere now.

Found Fest of Both Worlds less than two miles from me using the Lager Locator at a liquor store I had never been to. Such a good find!

Everyone can relax! Crisis averted. Call off the search dogs. I found two 4 packs (last two, sorry folks) at Liquor World in Franklin.

One more batch of Fest of Both Worlds is being canned this week I believe

Fest of Both Worlds on tap at Row 34 in Boston. Says on deck at Five Horses in Davis too, so might be on there.

Im loving all the pilot beers they’re releasing this year. New bock and pils were nice surprises tonight.
