Just grabbed some Destination Iceland quite excited for this one. Realized I missed Destination Japan and Brazil any of these left dusting in world?

a future mix pack of all Lagers of the World would be sweet.

definitely trying to go to Mayfest

I had gotten a pack a couple weeks ago and finally broke into it. Here's my initial take on it:
"Overall great beer. A big caramel malt kick up front followed by layers of holiday spice. Basically a winter warmer crossed with a Bockbier. Can't say if it is an accurate representation of a Jola Bock, but it is certainly good."
The only disappointment is that I got just 1 pack.

Also had Springdale's Amadan Irish stout, which was quite nice. I preferred it to their breakfast stout. Too bad this was a limited release, it would be a nice regular addition to the beer fridge.

I'd love to see Springdale add a plain old stout, porter, or brown ale to their regular offerings. And maybe bring the Jola Bock back at the end of the year? @JacksAbbyBrewing

Just got the JA email newsletter with some great items in it:
    • Sam Hendler won the Brewers Association F.X. Matt Defense of the Industry Award for his work as president of the Massachusetts Brewers Guild
      • "This award is presented to him for his contributions and efforts in championing the small brewing industry. Sam has been a force of defense of the craft beer industry since he stepped into his role as the @mabrewersguild President in 2020. He’s made key relationships, negotiated progressive franchise law changes, and advocated for the beer industry in ways which are immeasurable. Congratulations Sam! Thank you for all that you do."
    • Brite as Hell is back for a reprise. I'm guessing it is beer hall only, but not sure about that.
      • "You all bought every drop of Brite As Hell Munich Style Lager from the last batch... so we brewed another! The latest batch of Brite as Hell is available now in 4-packs."
I also saw some new releases/new formats announced on their social media:

Just curious, it seems like since Covid the taproom has way less tap offerings than it used to. Any idea why? I feel like before Covid there were 2-3 times more beers on tap regularly and way more experimental lagers. Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

I haven't seen very much of Jack Abby's in New Jersey over the last few months. Are they still distributing here?

I've noticed the same thing for a while now. There used to be more on tap. Now it feels limited and not much beyond core beers or anything already available in stores. I figured Covid was likely reason due to staffing resource shortages. I also noticed when they started having springdale take up lines at the Jack's hall there seemed to be fewer brewery-only lagers on which is what I'm interested in, not the Springdale stuff.

I think so. I saw not not too old four packs at Wegmans this week.

just checked tap list and really no reason to visit all stuff I’ve had or can get down the road at local market any time. Hopefully this changes. That being said I do plan on going to Mayfest this weekend which hopefully has more stuff including the maibock

Anyone know whether either the Maibock or Brite as hell gets any distro or if they're brewery only? Even distro to like Springfield? I couldn't find any info on the website and I don't think I've ever seen the MaiBock at a packie.

Maibock should see distribution, but Brite as Hell "is a Beer Hall exclusive"

I made a post about this in the NJ thread. I haven't seen anything outside of the core beers in South Jersey since the fall. Not sure why, and I don't think those core beers are particularly fresh. Was looking forward to Ray catcher and the other destination brews.

Apologies @GlenFarclas: Maibock is “A Beer Hall-only exclusive”…hopefully not still searching the packie

Don't fret! I hadn't ventured out yet. I did see a stowe style helles bock from Von Trapp but passed because I couldn't work out if it was traditional or not.

In any event, thanks for the follow up, I appreciate it.
