It's not shitshow like at all. They had more people show up than anticipated. That is a good thing, IMHO. I assume, since you are whining about this, that you would have a better plan?

I think it's more referring to it being a shit show for people that can't spend a Wednesday afternoon traveling to a brewery to buy and sample beer. I have no doubt JA is handling the situation fine under the circumstances, but this is what happens when there is a ton of demand for something very limited. I will most likely be heading there after work. I can only hope that I don't end up empty handed with 2 hours of my life down the toilet

But you can still go on Saturday and get 2 bottles. You can also try to track it down like any other limited release at your local store when it hits. I 100% see your point, and when presented tactfully is valid. But I doubt JA or the town of Framingham would want what would happen if this was released 6-per on a Saturday morning.

Me and my roommate just swung through and picked up a couple. Fairly slow as of 15 minutes ago, they had a specific register set up for people just buying the bottles. Can't wait to try them.

I'm going on Saturday afternoon anyways, was planning on it even w/o the variants.

Question for @JacksAbbyBrewing though: How's the regular BA Framminghammer bottle supply looking? Will there be certain limits on Saturday?

I'm all for 2 bottles of each variant or some such on Saturday. The way they seemed to go today and the way that beer geek panic spreads, people will undoubtedly buy the place out ASAP Saturday regardless of limits.

Swung in around noon with the GF to see the new tasting area, and it is great. We had a few pours and then when it died down got both our allotments plus some other goodies and left about 45 minutes after arrival. I don't think there is anything Jack's Abby can do to make this situation better. It's a highly sought after product. Cheers to Jack's Abby.

There is a decent supply of regular BA Framinghammer and it is not going fast right now. It will be available without limits on Saturday.

Will there be a decent amount of coffee and vanilla for sale on Friday at Julio's for the tasting? Going right after work but most likely cant' get there til closer to 7.

Just picked up a couple bottles of each. I noticed no reference to barrel aged on the label. Is this just an oversight or am I missing something. They are barrel aged?

Yes, that was an oversight. They were definitely barrel aged.

So in 2015, Framinghammer Day will be born.

That will solve everyone's problems, because every "release day" goes off so smoothly lol.

I showed up around 12:20pm. There were 8 people in front of me in line. I was done by 12:45. Some people getting in line behind me seemed shocked that there was a line, could have been sarcasm though. I did not stop for a tasting as it seemed packed and i did have what I came for. No complaints from this beer consumer. 15 minute wait for a limited release that I got shut out of last year? Nope, no complaints at all. And, they still had Baby Maker bottles.

Limits are interesting. I'd be curious to see some sort of study on the matter, but my guess is that when there's a reasonable limit (not too high, not too low - like 6) a decent subset of people will buy the limit even though, were there no limit, they would buy fewer. For example, I bought 4 of each last year during the unlimited run. Now that the limit is 6, I feel much more inclined to buy 6 (if I can) because why not?

I was there not too long ago and it was not a shit show in the least. There were 3 people in front of me and a bunch of people doing samplers. I was able to grab a few bottles and move on out, just the way I was hoping. Thanks for making things simple and efficient. Personally speaking, thank god for midweek releases. I can't handle Saturday madness.

Yep - I'm sure many people buy more when there's a limit. I know I've fallen for that more than once. I'm trying to be be more disciplined these days...depends on the beer, though. If I make it to JA tonight, I'm probably just getting 2 of each variant.

Just left...some people inside for tastings but virtually no line for bottles. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Thanks JA and crew for such an easy time!

This does not bode well for the Julio's release.
