    Hey all,

Is there any vanilla and coffee still kicking around anywhere? I had a box get "lost" by fed ex and need to make it right to my trading partner. Any stores still have any left?

Your best bet might be the brewery itself.

I though that this and last year's BA Framinghammer were awesome. This years batch spent 3 months in four roses whisky barrels. I put the most recent version in my top 5. Isn't great that we have access to fresh, awesome local beer? All the clamoring for that founders bourbon barrel stuff? Not even close. I bought a case and will savor every one. Expensive? What is the price for the barrels and 3 months of storage? Tonight I will do a side by side of this and last years. Be jealous.

Julios Liquors still had both last time I was over there. You probably want to call ahead just to make sure though.

Last I checked, the vanilla and coffee variants were both still available at Walsh's in Brighton Center. They probably wouldn't be if I liked barrel-aged brew.

Any other initial thoughts on the chipotle variant? Is it more carbonated than the cocoa-nut?

Redstone in Stoneham had some vanilla as of yesterday afternoon. They received 3 cases, but I'm not sure how much will be left at this point. Worth giving them a call.

I think Julio's has a Framinghammer tree in the back room. Just when it looks like they're down to the last variant, another twenty or so magically appear.

I think it is interesting how many ISOs and FTs are out there for the variants but not regular. All are great but think the regular is the best of the bunch. Guess we are always searching for the new and different.

I agree with this. I had both variants last year, both variants this year, and the Cocoa-Nut. My favorite is the regular barrel-aged version (both years) by a pretty wide margin. Last year's coffee comes in second.

There's less of them so a lot of beer geeks deem them better. I like regular the best myself.

Is it pretty safe to assume the Chipotle will still be available Saturday like Cocoa-Nut was?

The cocoa nut is liquid macaroon. No carb issues present. Silky smooth Baltic BA Framinghammer goodness. This totally falls in the guidelines of vols of carbonation for a Baltic Porter
