Jacks Abby Berliner Lager

    This one released with no hype. Picked up a few bottles at Julio's. Hope its good. Just a straight Weiss beer.
    Last sour wheat JA had was Sour Time it was a great beer I regret not buying more. I believe it was barrel aged. This one is not.

    That is correct, Sour Time was barrel aged, our Berliner Lager was not(though we do have some in barrels for a future release). The Berliner Lager is styled after a traditional Berliner Weiss, just finished with our regular lager yeast.

    Tried this last week at the Brewery; first time I got to try this style and the cherry is really nicely incorporated. Fantastic beer but I am enjoying it even more with the weather....grab some bottles for sure.

    There should really be a Jack's Abby release thread. There is no need to start a new thread for every single beer they put out.

    No, there should be. In fact, there should be a new thread for every single bottling they release for each beer, with the date as the title.:wink::wink:

    I don't think that the OP was referring to the previously released Cherry Berliner Braun, right? I think that this thread was created for the new Berliner Lager that is getting released at the brewery today.

    Just want to add that Framingham Lager is a solid beer. Clean, tasty, and highly drinkable. Never thought I'd ever like a light lager ever again. BMC brewers should take lessons. If this were canned it would be the beer of summer 2014. I see this as my everyday fridge beer.

    the berliner lager was pretty good, nice and tart with just a hint of funk to it.

    Doubt it, I think it tied up the breweries for 4 days, including a weekend which it sounded like they normally never brew on.

    Tried it at the brewery tonight and really enjoyed it. Got a growler of it to crush tomorrow in between house projects.
