Just saw blanchards tweeted yesterday that they have it.

 

Kiwi Rising is limited entirely by how much New Zealand hops we can get our hands on. We get one chance a year to get them and they are incredibly limited. We are working on sourcing hops to make a DIPL more often but there is a better chance at seeing more ABCS or something new than more Kiwi.

We also have some more information about our upcoming collaboration with Lawson's Finest. We will be using maple wood from Sean Lawson's property to smoke some malt at Valley Malt to go along with the 1 gallon of maple syrup per barrel.

Thanks I figured as much, I just really liked this even more so then nelson from Alpine...both use sauvin hops right?

I also like sauvingon blanc (spelling) from new zeland...good stuff coming out of new zeland these days.

 

Hoponius is the go to here. Never fails to amaze me how great this is.

 

Can we talk about how good the Cascadian Schwarzbier is? Having a draft right now and it's touching me in all the right places. Color me impressed (again) Jacks Abby, color me impressed...

I also plan on being impressed by ABCs next week. I literally love this brewery!

Drinking mine now. This beer is great, another homerun from Jack's Abby.

 

BA Framminghammer is my favorite barrel aged beer. Love this brewery.

 

I need to make it out there sometime. It's definitely on my list. In the meantime I'll just hoard whatever bottles I can get

 

The place is crazy small, but the people are really nice and I once bought a 4 pack of Hoponius which was bottled less than 24 hours earlier. Definitely worth the trip.

 

Just drinking my first ABCS. Wow. I think I'll stop complaining about the brief Kiwi Rising availability if I can get this... Hell, maybe JA can do a different DIPL for every season!

 

Drinking an ABCS right now, so far JA is 3 for 3 with the beers I've tried and will be drinking the Framinghammer tomorrow. Great beers at a good price, thanks for keeping us informed through BA too.

 

I've had at least 22 different Jacks Abby beers in the past ~14 months, 21 of which I would describe as at least "good", and most of which are very good to stellar (the one i did not think was at least good was the Brett Biere de Garde - which at least a few people have described to me as "amazing" or "one of the best things JA has ever done", so your mileage may vary). And I've yet to pay more than about 6.50 for any one bottle, with quite a few coming in at under $3. not sure i can even express how incredible i think the price to quality ratio is, and the variety is even better. we are very, very lucky here in Eastern MA.

(not to even mention it - but I think BA Framinghammer is my beer of the year so far. holy crap.)

 

Did a side by side with BA Framinghammer and KBS tonight, inspired by some of the comments here and the KBS thread. We shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves, as KBS is a beautiful beer and the coffee really adds a depth of flavor that is very different from BA F'ham. That said, the BA F'ham does ''scratch the BA itch' we'll. it carries the barrel flavor well and has the richness and mouth feel that competes with just about any BA beer I've had (short of Black Tuesday maybe). For me, what is best about this beer is the terrific flavor of the base beer. I drank a growler of non-BA F'ham over about 4 days (I really need more beer drinking friends) and I love the chocolate and rich roasted malt of this beer with just the right amount of sweetness to accent the flavor without making it too sweet. By the 4th day, it was totally flat I still had a hard time letting it go; it was that delicious. I wish they would bottle this beer and make it year round (hear that Jack?)

 

Went to the Flatbread Company in Bedford yesterday. They had just tapped a keg of ABCs earlier in the day. It really does make my day to drink local lagers abound and available at such high quality! Keep it up Jack's Abby!!!
