Grrr. One store out here tweeted that they got ABCS today, and I'm looking forward to that, but I haven't seen even one bottle of Framinghammer anywhere along the Rt 91 corridor. Maybe Western MA got shut out on this one.

Just cracked ABCs...wow. This is a phenomenal beer. I'm honestly enjoying it more than I enjoyed Pliny (which did not live up to all the hype). I know this is fresher and I'm not trying to saying this is a "Pliny killer," but if you can get this you don't have to worry about trying to acquire that famed Russian River brew.

Jack's Abby delivers hops better than anyone in MA. Enough to hold us over between trips to VT. Pliny has a lot more competition than it did 3 year ago. It's still great, though.

I was bummed out today that I missed out on KBS at Publick House last night so the wife & I went over to Lord Hobo to try some BA Framinghammer on tap... only to discover they were out. Had the the Smuttynose instead. My wife wanted to pick up some wine on the way home so we stopped at Martignetti's and, synchronicity, found an ample supply of the Framinghammer. Damn, it's tasty. Great success!

Had my ABCS tonight - great stuff. Even found a Saxonator for a cool night this week. Good beers at reasonable prices - I really wish other breweries would learn from what these brothers are doing. Looking forward to the Lawson's and DC Brau collbs. Well done, indeed.

The ABCS is sooo good . Not as hop strong as Kiwi but still a contender

I stopped by Martignetti's yesterday looking for some ABCs but no dice, so I grabbed another BA Framinghammer and another four-pack of Private Rye.

When you can't find the reportedly awesome brew you're looking for but are able to pick up some demonstrably awesome alternatives, life is pretty awesome.

ABC's are on the shelf now, for what it's worth. I think I grabbed the last Framinhammer though.

If anyone in Boston is curious, Charles Street Liquors had an ample supply of BA Framinghammer, ABCs, Saxonator, Private Rye, and a few others on the shelf yesterday.

Picked up the last ABCS and a Cascadian Schwarzbier. All I gotta say is: when's the next JA trip?

What's their growler policy? Do you have to buy there's? Can you bring your own?

$3 deposit on every growler you buy. When you get refills, they deduct the deposit. I'm 99.9% sure you can't bring your own as they have to be sanitized and branded.

Is there simcoe hops in Hoponius? I think I am slowly learning my pallet does not agree with simcoe. So ABCS is just ok to me. But I can appreciate it for a great beer. More bitter hop taste in ABCS right?

I don't believe it is, I agree with you on Simcoe hops and the ABCS release. Simcoe hops, IMO, give off a pungent cat piss aroma, my palate does not appreciate this. ABCS is not as bad as Weyerbacher Double Simcoe, but that's my .02

Yes, the 4 hop varietals in ABCs all have high alpha acids so bitterness is virtually inescapable in this beer. I think it has a nice level of it, though.
