Hi - heading up to Cambridge from NY for an overnight work trip. I'd love to pick up a couple of cases of the House Lager and maybe the Oktoberfest to bring home. I'm not familiar with beer stores in the area - are prices better at the brewery or are there supermarkets/beer distributers that carry Jack's Abby? Unfortunately can't stop at the brewery to drink - need to meet some clients. I guess I could buy from the brewery directly and cut out the middleman.
Julio's Liquors in Westborough, one exit up from the Mass Pike on I-495, has the best prices on Jack's Abby that I've seen, $7.99 a 6 pack. At the brewery House Lager is $10 a 6 pack. I'm not sure on Copper Legend.
You can find House Lager at a lot of liquor stores in Eastern MA. I don't know if you can walk out of a liquor store with a case. I don't see why not, I just haven't seen it. You could call a few Cambridge liquor stores ahead of time to see if that's cool. Supermarkets do not sell alcohol in MA.
They sure do. Supermarket/grocery stores are limited to the # of locations they can sell beer and wine in. A few that sell beer/wine include: Whole Foods in Cambridge(i think), Hadley, & Dedham Trader Joe's in Framingham & Brookline Wegman's Chestnut Hill Price Chopper Pittsfield Stop n Shop in Hingham was a few months ago.. I think the law is 3 locations in the state can sell beer/wine
Just picked up a few 6pks at whole foods cambridge they also had Vonn Trapp Helles which I wanted to try. Thank you all for the guidance.
Also just a heads up they have started NY distro this summer starting in the city i believe, so keep an eye out.
Careful on the order you drink them. I had the Von Trapp Helles before the JA house lager and that was a mistake. The VT Helles is absolutely ridiculously good, makes everything afterwards mediocre....
Yup, because Wegmans I know sells alcohol at Northborough, Westwood, Burlington and Chestnut Hill currently and may have other locales opening in the future.
