Yeah, that's funny. I think Tripl, MR, and KR should be listed pale lager. Seems to be the only accurate label on BA for them. The imperial pilsner label for the others doesn't make much sense either. I don't think these beers used primarily pils malt but I may be wrong.

Just wanted to chime in here. Picked up four bottles a week ago and have been loving the tripl, despite its price tag. As others have said, this beer masks its high alcohol content well. A nice hop forward nose and taste imparts a fruitiness a la mass rising and kiwi rising, but the Tripl isn't overly sweet. Doesn't taste super alcoholic but a litre of Tripl will put you on your ass. Saving my fourth bottle for the game tomorrow afternoon. Go pats!

It uses a lager yeast though, it shouldn't be listed under a category that is India Pale ALE.

You're right with imperial pilsner not being appropriate either, but then again, Boston Lager is listed under Vienna Lager and doesn't use Vienna malts.

I don't think the price tag is crazy on this. I bought one for 6.95 at Fromaggio Kitchen in the South End. $7 for a Triple IPA did not seem out of line. Not an everyday occurrence, but a great beer.

Anyone have any leads on any places in Metrowest that have this in stock today? I was checked Julio's yesterday but timed it just right to get there for the jerkoff who decided he needed all of the last bottles they had in stock.

Just go the brewery. New expanded hours makes it a lot easier. I think they are open by noon most days

@AshlandNacho Correct, still W-Sa, 12-8. I think he was merely suggesting if you are having trouble locating it at a shop, go to the source.

My friend ordered this beer at Meadhall and I had a sip and thought it sucked. Too boozy and the hop presence was disappointing. I opened a bottle of it at home, and it was like a completely different beer. Huge hop aroma, resin texture, no alcohol burn.

I still kind of the think they poured him the wrong beer. But seeing your comment makes me wonder.

They had at least one of their lines crossed last Thursday. I ordered a SN Breakfast at Chicos (Almond Milk Stout) and got some dry amber mess. Bartender repoured and it was definitely the wrong beer. Wouldn't shock me if another beer or two was wrong.
