Hi-- I'll be in Jacksonville in a few days, staying down in "The Landing" area. I'm slated to take some folks to dinner. Are there any decent brewpubs, or beer bars within walking distance of The Landing/Hyatt Regency?
I get to Jacksonville a lot but usually stay out at the beach. However, I do find myself downtown for work and can add the following: Aardwolf – Kind of in that area where you are staying. I will be making my first visit there on December the 5th before the Jags game (don’t ask…) Reviews look great, but they don’t really offer food. There is a European Street Café in the San Marcos neighborhood which is not that far from the landings (and much cooler). It is at 1740 San Marco Blvd. I like Bistro Ax in that neighborhood for good food and a decent beer list. There is also River City Brewery right across the river from where you are staying. Great food but very mediocre beer. They do have an awesome patio of the weather is nice. All of these are in Beer Fly. Hope this helps a bit!
