My brother just got stationed down in the Mayport area of Jacksonville, FL. He's not much of a beer drinker but has somehow found the time to send me a package of Jai Alai, Maduro, Hotter Than Helles and Invasion all the while defending the country. What a man! I've traded for Cigar City beers in the past but that was with experienced BA's. My question for you sirs is what are the best beer stores to find Cigar City seasonals in the Jacksonville area? That Cubano Espresso sounds too good to pass up.

If he's at Mayport the closest best bet is Total Wine at the Town Center. If want's to make the trek across town he can come see us at Beer:30 and our friends at Grassroots Market down the road.

Sweet. I'll let him know. What all do you have from them, at the moment? Or other beers for that matter worth trying out?

Currently its just the basics from CCB and cubano expresso. They haven't had a one-off go out in a few weeks that I can think of. Others he can look for are Terrapin Pineapple Express, Wake N Bake is still around. Jacksonville just started getting Jester King as well. All these are in house here, not sure what Total has at the moment. But Mayport to here is about a 45 minute drive.

Seasonals can be hit or miss. Occasionally, you can find some rares like Bolita, Guava Grove or Humidor Series in the bottle shops. For the really rare beers, local shops will be lucky to get one case each and you'll need to be there around the same time as when they release it for sale. Beer30 is very good about getting their beers out for sale almost as soon as they come in and their prices are generally better than most. I would go there.

I Definitely agree with Beer:30. Their assortment is awesome and even if CCB rarities didn't make their way up to Jax when your brother stops in, the guys at Beer:30 will send your brother home with some other nice stuff.
