Jade

I finally tried Jade on draft a couple of weeks ago and was sorely disappointed, but I reserved final judgement until I tried it in the bottle. Picked up a couple of bottles the other day at Total Wine, and while moderately better than the draft offering I had it is far from a world class IPA.

While Foothills does very well with its darker offerings, it seems to consistently miss the mark on hoppy beers

Has anyone seen this outside of NC? Particularly in SC?

 

Had one tonight. It was really good. I enjoyed it much more than Hop Drop, actually.

 

Jade Kegs have been around SC recently, and bottles are on the way according to my distributor.

 

Haven't seen Jade on the SC coast and really want to, that and the IPA of the month. We get their normal stuff and there was an appearance of Sexual Chocolate, but no Jade.

 

I had some Jade last week on tap here in Charleston. This was my first pint ever of this stuff and I was quite impressed. I sure hope some bottles make it here!

 

I just scored my first bottles of Jade today in Elizabeth City NC. I was excited to see it available, after the first glass I was dissapointed that I only bough two bottles. I will be stopping in for more tomorrow!

 

so. i adore this beer. what can i do to get some? are there fresh bottles out there? growlers? etc.

Well, okay. Twist my arm.

 

I've always loved it in tap, but have yet to try a bottle. I have been hesitant worrying that it won't transition well.

 

I can pick up some today or tomorrow that has a 2/19/14 bottle date. Send me a PM if you're interested.

 

You shouldn't worry. It tastes great from the bottle. Super fresh, and I love that it's got a bottle date. The first time I had the beer was last year at Ruckus on draft and it didn't really stand out to me. Who knows how long ruckus had it in inventory, because the fresh Jade that I've had in the bottles have actually stood out to me, really impressive stuff.

 

I was in NC last week and didn't get to try as many beers as I would have liked because I kept drinking Jade. So good.

 

I hope that Jade makes it to VA soon. I bought 3 bottles when I was at FH last month. Great stuff!
