Jai Alai appreciation

    So i see appreciation threads, but never jai alai before. I am from Mass and am vacationing in southern NC. I can get beer delivered here so i figure treat myself on vacation. I ordered a 6er of expedition stout (incredible beer, that thread might come shortly) and a 6er of Jai Alai and i was very impressed. Big hop head, i've had heady before and love it and this is the best IPA i've had since. Phenomenal beer, excellent hop flavor, I wish i could get this year round. Way to go cigar city!

    A buddy let me have one of his about a month ago and it was incredible. If I could get it up here, it (along with Surly Furious) would be a tenant in my fridge.

    Hopslam is distributed to Florida. But overall you'll have no problem trading for it.

    I love all the tropical notes of the beer. Really nice. Nice change from the midwestern style IPA.

    They're all out of it at Total Wine right here in St Pete (and Tampa and Clearwater I'm sure).

    I asked the beer manager about the White Oak Jai Alai and he said they sold out of it in a day but they have more in a month. WTF???

    I can't complain too much. They're usually stocked up at the SamsClub 10 minutes from my house. I'm just not too keen on how well they store it there.

    Dammit, you and your facts! I was implying that I'll trade my states IPA for your states all day, even though mine is rated higher for some reason.

    I tried it for the first time when I was in FL this winter.... outstanding stuff. Then I found the Oaked version my last night there. THAT was one of the tastiest beers ive ever had.

    Love me some Jai Alai! Gotta pick it up whenever we vacation in FL which is almost every year now! Great hop profile, CCB makes some damn fine beers.

    First East Coast IPA I ever enjoyed and first IPA my wife ever enjoyed (and she doesn't even really like beer that much)! Just goes to show you that a beer done right is a truly beautiful thing. Now if only local bars would take care of their kegs and tap lines before they serve it... Oh well, being able to shoot over to the brewery for a growler is a very dangerous thing... Second the White Oak being amazing BTW.

    I have to whole heartedly agree with the OP! Dare I say, Jai Alai is underrated? Phenomenal IPA and one of the best beers I've ever been fortunate enough to enjoy. Looking forward to my next near perfect Jai Alai.

    I really liked Jai Alai when I had it, then I got to try the White Oak Jai Alai and I just about went crazy. Now THAT is a damn good beer.

    I just started the Hoptimum thread, if I could get Jai Alai (I fucking love canned IPAs!!!), I have no doubt it would be intruding on my Modus Hoperandi drawer. Beer is awesome!
