So i'm from the mid-atlantic forums but I was curious about this beer. Heard about it and really want to get some when it comes out. Curious if anybody knows of it's release, if they've had the regular breakfast stout version.

If any of this beer ever hits the trade forums much.

    Cheers,
    Mike

I think they did a one off Barleywine called Last Request last year, but I've never seen it around. Almost positive it was never bottled. Is that what you are talking about?

Not sure but if you check their site there's a Last Request that is a barrel aged breakfast stout.

    It's not a breakfast stout.

It's their regular Breakout Stout, that is aged in PVW barrels.

The "Last Request" is their last beer they do for the season/year. It was a Barleywine last year, that they re did and called "Hard Times Barleywine"... They did it as their one off series I think it was.

The new Last Request is the one you are talking about. I'm not sure how much they are going to make. If I had to guess.. Not much. They only had like 2-4 barrels that I saw.

It'll be a couple of weeks, I think they said it's getting close to done. Will probably be released sometime next month if I had to guess.

I'll be able to get a couple of bottles, and will be willing to spread some JH love!

Thanks for all that info! I was going to say that after seeing that link, and the Beer Street Journal teaser tweet the other day, that I was thinking that this may be the case. Any clue as to how they plan to distribute?

I'd suspect their normal distro... It's in just about every bottle shop near me, but I'm on the southside of the city, and jailhouse around 30-40 minutes from me.

I'd suspect they will move it out like they do everything else though. Nothing too fancy, no frills.. Just the way it should be.

Yeah, I'm right in the city and see quite a bit of their stuff as well. Yeah, that cant really do a bottle release of anything, so it should be interesting to see how they handle it if it is a very short run. Low key would definitely be their style.
