I'm visiting Hachinohe, Japan for work. I'm curious if there is anything I should be on the look out for, both to bring home and to enjoy with dinner. Aside from the large Japanese rice lagers that see distro in the USA and Hitachino Nest, I'm not aware of anything else in the market. Cheers.
I have no idea what the distribution looks like in Hachinohe, but look for Baird, Shiga Kogen and Minoh. They're some of the larger craft breweries in Japan that might send their beer out that way.
Oh, from looking around online it appears that Chateau Kamiya is a brewery in Hachinohe. There are some recent checkins on Untappd that suggest it's still open.
