Jazzing up Berliner

    Bourbon and sour actually go somewhat well. Seek out Black Angel, from Wicked Weed. It's a pretty damn sour stout, aged in bourbon barrels with cherries.

    A tart cherry berliner in a bourbon barrel.. I'd try it.

    Yeah, the more I think about it, the vanilla/toffee bourboneyness with toasted coconut/raspberry is something I'm going to fuck with. Could be disgusting, delicious, or somewhere in between. Definitely the craziest flavor profile I've come up with.

    Well, it won't be bourbon barrel, I make my own homemade charred white oak staves soaked in bourbon. Hopefully the same effect, though.
