Not sure if you did your thing or not yet. But here are my thoughts which I am sure were echoed in the thread I didnt fully read.

Kane is by far the best brewery that is consistent in NJ and they have a spectrum of styles on at all times, not sure when you were there last, but last Sunday they had a great selection when I popped in.

Bradley is okay, nothing outstanding IMO but some drinkable stuff. For me being so close in proximity to Kane, I just go to Kane. But worth a stop.

Jughandle is pretty average, some things I have had I like a lot, others not as much.

Icarus, I would say make it a point to stop here. While I haven't been in a while and don't like the direction they have gone at times (too much reliance on lactose) their beers are good and they have a wide array of styles.

Dark City, just pass, its not worth spending the money. I'd rather point you to a cocktail bar or a place with somewhat of a beer selection in Asbury than to Dark City unfortunately.

Source is hit for miss for me, its not as packed now as it was in the summer time, but they have limited selection on and I haven't had anything that really blew me away at all.

I agree that Kane is a must stop. IMO Icarus - Kane is more driving then I would like to do if I am doing this.

Kane - Jughandle - Bradley Beach - Little Dog would be an easy hit...can even hit Brickwall or Talula's in AP with a great tap list and food..

If you are thinking of adding Icarus why not shot a little north and hit Carton? They are relatively equal distance from Kane... but again both are great choices.

you can NOT go wrong with a Bee Lament pizza...also the Gin & Jam is low key best cocktail in AP and I do not like gin

Anyone heading down to Cape May Brewing should stop off at Slack Tide - just off Rte. 9 in Clermont.

Haven't been there, but have enjoyed their beers while vacationing in Cape May in the past.

IMO, Asbury Park Brewery over Dark City any day of the week and I avoid Beach Haus in Belmar (well, may be good for the StPatsParade).
but certainly Kane, Little Dog, Jughandle and Bradley Brew. Haven't made it to Icarus yet...
For food, drinks, local brew, try White Chapel Project in Long Branch
