Will this last until next week? At 2700 bottles, 1 per person, and marking your hand I can't see how it couldn't.

I do not. All of my friends enjoy Jester King beers too much to be a mule, anyone who came with would be wanting their own bottle. I try to make up for it with nearly monthly trips and sometimes staying for a night or two in Austin, but I don't worry about trying to mule.

I would bet that it will last into next weekend...but that has more to do with much less advance notice I think. Fen Tao had weeks advance notice so some out of town/out of state people probably planned trips around it...but who knows...maybe i'm underestimating here

I don't know if I have it in me to make this trip 3 weekends in a row lol... You guys are killing it this month with releases and Zwanze day!

Glad to see JK making the "special release" line. Great idea.

I won't make it down this weekend, hope it lasts!

Just for reference, how many bottles of Nocturn were made for B2 release? Trying to gauge how long AL will last.

I would put my money on that it lasts until next Saturday.

This one has 900 more bottles, less notice, more strict enforcement. And, the other one (if there were 900 more) likely would have last until at least Friday

Hopefully this cuts back on the drama and I like that JK is trying to cut back on it as well. I have no problems getting marked for a bottle as I do think it well hope. I hope this mark is a step below a tattoo.

My favorite Jester King brew, and I can't make the drive down this weekend.... my heart hurts.

That would definitely limit the numbers of people

Was hoping to fly in for this but 3 days notice isn't enough. One of these days I'll make it down for a release of a fruit sour and tour

NC blend 2 was 6000 bottles, limit 2... It lasted 4 full weekends and another day, iirc

AL blend 2 at 2700 bottles, limit 1, shorter notice, it should last til at least Friday, Oct 3 (1 and 1/3 weekends). Remember ACL will be bringing in ATX visitors anyway. Perhaps it'll last two full weekends.

@jesterkingbeer just brainstorming, but would checking ID's and taking down names be a logical way to enforce the 1/per limit?

I predict a surge in Michael Jackson-style gloves and long-sleeve shirts at Jester King this weekend.

(But seriously, if I wasn't broke from Fen Tao I'd be back for a third consecutive weekend. Since I am broke, I'll be down Friday the 3rd).

It would be a pain in the ass to check everyones ID and have a list there to write it down on and verify each time.

    Just my take....

I am thinking we may want to implement DNA testing of everyone as they get bottles...just to verify as well. Better safe than sorry.

Not sure if you heard but there's these cool things called computers and scannable ID's that could accomplish this fairly easily...

Potentially cost prohibitive but its very doable and may be worth the investment if this is an ongoing issue. Could possibly have the special bottle purchase line combined with entrance line so you check ID, grab your bottle, enjoy the day. Although I realize this would slow down entrance for those not interested in bottles but you are checking ids already. Just a thought....

I have a thought on what might solve the problem, but it's probably impossible.

What if people just didn't act like assholes and respected JK's wishes?

    Right, never mind, impossible
