I'm headed out to Austin in a few weeks, and was curious if anyone has seen bottles of Das Wunderkind or Boxer's Revenge floating around.

Or, being that I'm Houston based, has anyone seen them around town? D&Q hasn't had Wunderkind in in a while, and I'm told Underbelly is sitting on upwards of 30 different cases of JK.

Boxer's revenge is not released yet, its waiting on label approval and good luck finding Das floating around. You'd be lucky to still find it, the release was small and most were bought up quickly. But if you can find a stash let me know :)

Boxer's Revenge is still awaiting TABC approval last I read. Underbelly has 30 different cases? JK doesn't even make 30 different beers yet.

lawl I meant they have 30 cases of a variety of JK, obviously not 30 different beers...

Those two probably won't be available. The other releases should be easy to find, excluding Commercial Suicide.

What's the word on rodeo? Is it getting bottled, and has anyone tried it?

We received TABC label approval for Boxer's Revenge last week. The bottles were picked up by our distributor last Friday. We expect cases to start making their way to stores sometime this week. We will post the list of places receiving Boxer's Revenge once we have it.

We submitted label approval for Beer Geek Rodeo to TABC about a week ago. We expect it to take up to another two weeks. We also have yet to receive labels for that beer from our label printer.

105 cases were picked up by our distributor (1,260 bottles). We also have about 30 cases (360 bottles) that we are self-distributing. So the count for the first bottle release of Boxer's Revenge is approximately 1,620 bottles.

I would settle for 3 bottles. When we received A CASE of Black Metal I didn't buy a single bottle and it sold out in a few days. I would love to walk into my local bottle shops and buy Jester King. Trading for it with my Cali trade partners is waayyyy chaper than driving 2 to 3 hrs. Plus I don't have to hang out with jl28r1. :)

This ain't Beatification and this ain't the west coast. Boxer's is a great beer to be sure, but in TX, 1600 bottles is still a lot of beer. The relatively small contingent of TX BAs that are excited about this one should mean that there is enough to go around.

The other 99% will see the price tag and reach for a PBR tallboy instead - no hipster disparagement intended.

This is a somewhat bigger release than Das but that stuff sold out fast here in Houston. Nearly all the places that got it sold out that day. If the city had gotten twice as much, it may have been on shelves but the demand was much too high for that initial release. Hopefully we get more cases of Boxer's and it isn't so hard to track down a few bottles.

I think there was quite less amount of das than boxers.

  31. miikezombie

100 cases of Das compared to 135 of Boxer's Revenge. That's an extra 420 bottles. I know a few cases of Das were self distributed but I'm not sure how many.

This is correct, I can't say anything about when they will be distributed, but I was able to order bottles of Wytchmaker, Mad Meg, Noble King, and Farmhouse Black Metal through the MJ Beer Club.

I placed an order with my vendor for Boxer's Revenge on Monday and he told me he'd get it to me by Friday.
    We'll see.

We self-distributed about 30 cases of Das Wunderkind! Sour Saison. The initial release quantities of Boxer's Revenge and Das Wunderkind! bottles are about the same.
