I like Premium Draught overall, but the reason JK bottles last there is pricing -- last I checked they had Boxer's for $20.

Yeah I wont pay $20 for it either. I already feel that JK beers are over priced, then you get a local store mark it up even more. I'm out on that.

I was @ D&Q about 2 days ago. No RU-55 or Boxer's to be seen.

$20 a bottle for Boxer's Revenge is higher than we'd like to see. We sell it to our distributor for $8.17 a bottle, with a suggested retail price range of about $14 to $18.

~15 seems to be the typical price at the retailers I've seen in San Antonio. $20 is highway robbery.

Everything at Premium Draught is marked up a little higher than most places. The shop is cool but not a lot of traffic in there every time I go.

had to dug thru some paperwork to find out OUR(Retailer) cost of Boxers - its $140.40 a case = 11.70... we sold it for 15.99 = made 27% compare to the distributor we made 3% less(8.17 cost - sold it to us for 11.70 = 30%) wow - i always thought distributors makes less than retailers but oh well...

I think your math is wrong. You make 36% compared to your cost. Still less than the distributor who makes 43%. You guys don't seem to be gouging at all and charging a fair price though. So cheers to you for that. I wish my shops did the same here in California.

It's locked? That's unfortunate, as we've spent a lot of time on that thread trying to provide information and clarification about our beer and brewery.

Damn, I had no idea we paid that much more than what y'all get for it. I'm not stupid and obviously knew there was markup in every stage, but I didn't expect double.

    Sub-par? I think it's pretty high-end douchery.

I actually thought the opposite, most retail products are a double mark up, I didn't realize the stores were making so little. Glad I support my boy at D & Q before all others, those kids need braces (not sure if they actually need braces, they all had pretty straight teeth, but they at least need a new pair of shoes)

    Jeff,

Just curious, if you don't mind me asking, what are the next couple of anticipated releases to the market? Not counting new stuff like Salt Lick, when will be seeing new batches of Bonnie, Buddha's Brew, Funk, RU55, etc.?

I'm running extremely low on Bonnie and Buddha, and I've been rationing it all I can.

I'm curious why JK started going to 2oz sample pours instead of their usual 6 oz pours? Not as good of an experience as before.

I'm glad they closed the everything thread. I stopped checking it a long time ago. I like to know when there is something new to read without having to sort through 40 pages on my iPhone. I image the activity on those threads began to drop so they locked them.
