He gets beer from BeK, he just isn't high on their list... At least I know he get's some BeK (Dogfish, Deschutes, North Coast, Sierra Nevada, Saint Arnold, etc...) Part of the reason why he doesn't have alot of the rare releases (i.e. Dayman)

From what I understand there was a small dispute over another distributor, that lead to a "physical" conflict (NOT involving Brandon) somewhere else... Don't know if this is BS or not...

I like whenever someone asks him he just laughs about it...

 

As long as he keeps getting that Jester King first, I don't mind the other stuff

Spec's got Salt Lick on the same day as Founders.

 

Good news on Salt Lick bottles, will have to get my brother to bring a bottle up to me when he comes next week.

Still haven't tried Ol' Oi yet. Think that and Viking Metal are the only JK i've yet to taste! Can't wait to try both, seem fascinating.

 

Honestly I haven't had the main JK line. Keep finding the awesome "limited" releases. What from the main line do I need to try?

 

That's odd, as I haven't seen a BEK truck there in loooooooong time, and if I recall correctly, he said they don't deal with each other at all. He mentioned this when I asked him why he doesn't carry Ayinger anymore. This was some time ago, so maybe my memory has failed me.

But you know, JK is cool and they self distribute, so who gives a shit.

 

That is actually probably the case now... I haven't seen a truck there in a while either...

Anyone had a Funk Metal lately? I had one that was "closet aged" and there's some brett starting to come out in there. I'm really excited to see where this goes in the next 5yrs.

 

I had one a month ago and was super impressed. I'm going to let my other sit for a long while too.

 

Popped a Batch 1 Funk around 2 weeks ago! Definitely got better with some age! I'm worried about letting it get to 5 though

 

I fear that if you age that for five years, it may become a weapon of mass destruction.

 

I have 2 that i will be closet ageing...

does anyone else age any of their other sours?

 

Got a Bonnie, Buddha, and some various batches of Boxer's hanging around with a handful of bottles of Funk. I kind of wish I had some bottles of b1 Wunderkind!.
