    Well, I'm gonna try my damnedest to get to the releases. But at the rate JK puts out limiteds, I don't think more than two releases a year is gonna be reasonable given my current situation.

    I think Pumpkin is just difficult to work with. Think about it. How would you describe the taste of pumpkin? Does it actually taste like anything? Or is it more of a "blank canvas" that allows you to work in your own flavors and spices? I'm not saying it's even either of those things. I leave that judgement up to you.

    I'm pretty sure this is true. That pumpkin takes on flavors like cinnamon and nutmeg really well and let's you flavor it to your liking versus having its own unique flavor.

    The best pumpkin beer I ever had was a homebrew that barely used any pumpkin. Instead they used a ton of butternut squash because it "had a better pumpkin flavor". Confusing world this is. Good call on the flavor description.

    I've used butternut squash instead of pumpkin before. They're basically the same thing only butternut squash has more flavor and are available year round.

    I really can't wait for pumpkin beer season! It is my favorite time of the year!
