I know right....maybe I shouldn't spend so much $ on beer and maybe I could afford one. I live and work in downtown FtW so I so rarely see or use my car the only reason I have one is really to drive to Jester King.

Maybe I should just move to Austin

Wow. That's two and half more miles on foot. You deserve a beer.

Sounds like we should. Flood has just been awesome for us so I would expect to see it at places that have seen Ambree, RU-55, etc. in the past months. But I just love going down to Austin in general and Jester King in particular, it's just relaxing. And I was able to get a case whereas I'd probably only be able to snag a bottle or two via local distribution.

Based on the success of this beer do you guys expect to brew this again next year?

Just guessing but this looks to be a yearly release, as they are calling it their "winter saison". The label has some words describing the "2013" version.

Unexpectedly, it would appear that it was not Hibernal that sold out last weekend :grimacing:

    Menu for this weekend:
Jester King Das Wunderkind! saison 750ml $14.00
Jester King Hibernal Dichotomous saison brewed w/watermelon, spearmint, lavender, & rosemary 750ml $14.00
Jester King Funk Metal sour barrel-aged stout 750ml $16.00

5 Stones (Cibolo, TX) Manmosa wheat ale brewed with oranges & orange zest 750ml $10.50

Just three JK beers to go. Very unexpected.

Thanks, but if I miss it, I miss it. Not the end of the world. If we happen to be there on the same day for Encendia though, I'll buy you a beer.

We plan to make another blend of hibernal next year. We're also planning to eventually make vernal, estival, and autumnal blends. - Jeff

Wait this is a winter saison? But it's so unbelievably refreshing, perfect summer beer in my book. Can't wait to see what flavor combos might be in a vernal, estival, or autumnal blend.

Ah, that makes sense then. Except...watermelon? I'll take their word for it. Whatever, the important part is that it tastes fantastic.

Winter in Texas. We'd probably be more true to our climate if we made Summer Dichotomous and Super Summer Dichotomous.
