Does anyone have any info on this brew? Had it at a tasting tonight and it was outstanding...I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on it... Just curious if anyone has run across this or has anymore info... Thanks!

I want to say Ol Oi was branded as that for awhile, but it wasn't exclusive to one beer.

Like Mind Swoop said, I believe Ol Oi was packaged in that for a while, before it was released, but so were a couple of others. What color was the beer?

    Thanks for the info guys!

It was light golden in color... I"m guessing it wasn't Ol Oi on this one as I remember that being darker.. but maybe it could've been the non-dry hopped Boxers?

Anyways, it was definitely fun trying this "unlabeled" brew... a couple people at the tasting thought it was the best beer we had all night..

My impression was that there were multiple blends packaged in these bottles over a period of time...I do wonder (if that is the case) if there is any way to tell what is in the bottles without opening it...

I dont know if it's possible... the label pictured above was the only idenitifier... No back label... the cap was a blank cap if I remember correctly...

I asked Jeff about this beer when these bottles were at the brewery. It's an early version of Das Uberkind that didn't finish as intended.

The first batch of Ol' Oi to be bottled had a label similar to the one above, but it didn't say Experimental Sour, it said Ol' Oi.

Not Boxers, Uberkind. I can't remember exactly what he said about it, but it had something to do with hops and carbonation.

Source: I was there with you.

enjoyed that one with you last night; best domestic sour that I have ever had. I walked away from the group in amazement after every sip.

I was told it was a batch of uberkind that didn't meet their standards for release.

It was Uberkind that didn't condition well. Glad to see some people still enjoyed it. For instance, I enjoy the 3F Doesjel, which from what I understand is gueuze that fails to condition in the bottle. I'm not comparing our beer to 3F by the way. - Jeff
