I'm glad to see there's interest in Viking Metal in California! It's a damn tasty beer, better than it's average score on BA in my opinion.

Experimental sour sounds good as well. Is this it's first time being bottled as well? if anyone knows.

It's been available at the brewery for almost half a year now.

It's always been in bottles, for conditioning.

As far as I know that isn't available for off-site consumption since the label isn't TABC certified.

Had the experimental sour a couple of weekends ago. Was probably my 2nd favorite beer of the day, behind the El Cedro Cask.

Everything from Jester King is excellent, but I'd steer you toward other beers before the experimental sours. Although, over the last few months, Jester King has posted some very cool pictures of experimental beers and yeast harvesting methods...
I think the experimental sours change pretty often (a real TX BA will know more), but in late June the one I had was pretty Lambic like, and I'm not a big fan of the style. The RU-55 was my favorite beer of the day. Then either Das Uberkind, Ol Oi, or Boxer's Revenge. Damn, they were all great!

RU-55 and Uberkind are my bbs. I love them.

I didn't have every beer that day, most notably Funk Metal and das Wunderkind (and the five regulars). Those two beers both rock too. How Funk Metal so gracefully gives up big characteristics of both a stout and a sour ale, damn.

I need another bottle of that :slight_frown:. I think I've only had it twice, if not once.
