Does anyone know Jester King's productions schedule? It seems all their big beers such as Boxer, Funk, RU55, and Ol Oi, coming out during the fall/winter big beer months. It would be cool to have a timeline so I know how slowly I should drink my Wunderkind and Uberkind supply, though I assume we should expect these beers in the springtime, I hope... :astonished:@jesterkingbeer

Wundekind Batch #2 is aging nicely, by the way.

Most of JKs beers due to bacteria/wild yeast don't have a time line. Basically they're ready when their ready.

Looks like they drained the tempranillo beer from barrels per their facebook so bottle condition for a few weeks and release in March?

Itching for some more Uberkind for sure.

    Hi James,

We don't even know what our production schedule is beyond 6 to 8 weeks out. However, one recent decision we made is to set our brewing schedule more in-line with the seasons. For instance, we like our stainless steel fermented beers (e.g. Le Petit Prince, Noble King, Wytchmaker) to rise into the 80s temperature-wise during fermentation. It's hard to reach these temperatures in the winter, so we plan to brew more beers fermented in stainless steel from March to November. Our oak barrel fermented beers (e.g. Boxer's Revenge, RU55, the coolship beer in the works) on the other hand are kept at 60F during fermentation. We plan to focus more on brewing barrel fermented beers from November to March. Finally, the timing of certain beers are determined by when we can get fruit. For instance, we can only get strawberries and apricots in the summer and grapes in the fall. I hope that helps!

    - Jeff

@jesterkingbeer does anyone know if the new batches of Noble King, etc with the new house yeast blend have hit distribution in Houston?

Specs midtown has the new yeast versions for Commercial Suicide, Wytchmaker, and LPP. I don't think the Mad Meg or Noble King were but I could be wrong on those. I was checking it out last night

I picked up a bottle of Noble King with souring bacteria (November 2013 batch) from Premium Draught about a week and a half ago. They may still have some left, along with the new yeast version of Commercial Suicide. I tried Noble King at the brewery in December, and the bottle had lost a lot of the hops, but picked up a nice amount of tartness. Really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed Noble King before, but now it is one of my favorite beers y'all make along with Atrial and Aurelian!

I heard most of it got kegged, so I don't think they'll be too many bottles this time around
