Anyone been to one of these before? Pro-tips? Do people line up, or should there be plenty to-go throughout the day? Is there good public transit out there, or do I need to be responsible? Do you hate it when people just post tons of questions into the void with a sense of righteous entitlement? There will be free professionally-taken pictures with Jester King’s Goats.
People might line up, but there really is no reason to. Spon is excellent, but due to the price it is available long after release day. It can be spotty, but you can usually get a Lyft or Uber from there back to wherever you need to go.
How much do the Spon beers cost at the brewery? A beer bar up here in MA had a few bottles and I really wanted to buy one, but I think the price was 75 bucks for a 375 ml bottle. That's past even my "treat yo self" birthday amount.
Nowhere near that, but $25 for a 375ml of 5% abv beer is still really expensive. They are delicious though.
Is there a good FB group, or elsewhere, for trading for JK bottles? Trading seems to be drying up here, but that also seems to be a general trend everywhere...
Let me know what you’re looking for bud ; ) In all seriousness though, I agree. There is just a lot more great beer everywhere, and now you have apps like Tavour selling a lot of otherwise brewery only releases for small markups with cheap shipping.
