Actually it sold out in seconds. My time stamp was :00:07 (7 seconds) and I did not get in.

I hope I can land a bottle through Jesterking.

If I don't win the chance of getting a bottle, I hope I can at least try it.

If I don't get to try it, I will live another day.

Oh yeah, I heard about this. I like this way. I think there's still a potential # of members to # of beer issue for a smaller brewpub, but I like that it had spots for people who were both near and far. For reserve societies, pretty great.

Wow. Amazing. I really thought they would sell the 1000 local spots in 1 day too, but that just lingered and lingered for several days after

Yeah, my time stamp was around there and I missed out. Thankfully I have friends when when I lived down there would are letting me buy their extras. If JK did a similar process, I would drive the distance for it.

Yeah, I was just thinking that this thread got way off, on to the release of new beer and dreams of how to get it. Which is relevant in a way, but not as far as we've taken it.

Does anyone want to start a Jester King reserve society/beer lottery speculation thread? I'm sure as hell not.

I completely agree. At 400 bottles I'd almost prefer they do a draft release only or only sell opened bottles. For this release even if I don't get a bottle I'd gladly drive down just to have some pours and hang out with good people. But here I am hoping for memories not a shiny new bottle for my "cellar"

That is not a bad idea. The people who make the trip (or happen to live in Austin, DAMN THEM) get rewarded, but there are some left over for people online/who cant make the trip.

nice, but begs the question, when are you gonna drink them all? I drank all my jester king lineup as a house warming beer share.

I know. I keep checking the thread hoping, to hear something about the beer. I got to check out the brewery for the first time last Friday. I couldn't help thinking how much of that wonderful beer, racked in the barrels would make its way to my belly.

I'm going to do them over time. We opened my second to last Whiskey Rodeo at Nobis about 2 months ago and I plan on getting a small tasting together and open all three of the Rodeos at once. As for the Thrash Metal and Black Metals I have no plans on them.

I opened my last Whiskey Rodeo a couple weekends ago. It was garbage. Completely fell apart. No whiskey, just burnt, acrid stout. I opened my last Beer Geek Rodeo last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. Very tasty. I'm down to my last Weasel Rodeo. I'll report back here once I open it since this seems to be the new Everything Jester King thread. :stuck_out_tongue:

So can we all agree that the best course of action would be a combination of reserve society, lineup at the brewery, and lottery? That should please everyone, right? :grinning:

I'm gonna stop complaining now. I'm a big fan of Jester King and I'll be on board with whatever they do.

....so there are 400 bottles of the strawberry. 800 people signed up for AR at 3 bottles a piece (roughly). So if the same amount of people sign up again, and they do a lottery, you have a 50% chance of getting a bottle. Those odds don't seem too bad.

There'll be more sign ups next time. I told quite a few people about the release of AR that were unaware of the signups.

There were people there on Saturday that had no clue what was going on. The people in line behind me in the tap room asked what the 'red beer everybody is drinking' was and then told me they saw it on Petrol Stations Facebook page.

    Or:

You have to lineup at the brewery to get a ticket for the lottery to perhaps win a spot in the reserve society.
