In my hometown of Lake Jackson, local grocery store, Jerry's Food King, started carrying Jester King beers which is very exciting, so to introduce people to Jester King beers, I'm hosting a tasting in Clute at 5pm this Friday, November the 22nd. I will feature a wide range of beers from my personal collection as well as some beers donated from Jester King for this event. If you would like to come let me know, since I need a rough number as to how many to expect. The tasting is at 5pm this Friday, November the 22nd. The featured beers thus far are:

    Le Petit Prince
    Noble King
    Wytchmaker
    Commercial Suicide
    Mad Meg
    Das Wunderkind
    El Cedro
    Salt Lick
    Viking Metal
    Ol' Oi
    Omniscience & Proselytism
    RU55
    Boxer's Revenge
    Atrial Rubicite
    Black Metal

Really wish I spent more time on this forum. I missed this. I live in Lake Jackson also, and spend a lot (too much) money at Food King, and - I'd have loved to try some of these. Oh well. Thanks for doing it, just the same.

I'm this close to starting a Lake Jackson beer reddit for tastings for things like this but I don't go down much. Maybe others would use it though. I brought down some 5 Stones, BFM and Hops & Grain as well. This is what we had: pic.twitter.com/oSPEThi80M

There's a home brewers club that meets once a month here. I've been to a few. You should pitch the idea there. They're all beer nuts and would probably pass the word.

I live in Austin (from LJ) but when I come down I always bring a lot of Austin beers and ALWAYS stop by Food King to support what Bob is doing down there.
EDIT: I'll let you know when I'm down if you'd like to get a drink and share some bottles.

Absolutely! I have some great friends, but if you give them anything other than Bud Light they look at you funny! Drop me a line when you're down this way again and we'll get something good!

Bottle per person turnout was great. About 12-15 people and 18 different brews. I'll let you know when I come down again. Thanks for the interest!
