Jester king?

A few JK options are sold at Crown Liquors in Indianapolis, both the Avon and downtown Indianapolis locations. I don't think we count as "southern Indiana" - but I've no idea if there's anywhere up in the Region that get's it.

 

West Lakeview usually has their full regular lineup. It doesn't seem to be very readily available in IN from my experience. I don't have much info other than that.

 

I'm pretty certain I saw Das Wunderkind there last time I went as well as Le Petit Prince. I'm going to be stopping by there tomorrow evening and I can let you know what all they have for sale if you'd like.

Not sure whether it means anything or not, but in their online store, they've only listed Mad Meg for a while. I feel like I've seen at least Commercial Suicide and Noble King on the shelves there too.

 

Also, a great time to check out WLVL in person might be at their JK tasting Friday at 6pm - Atrial, Nocturn, Hibernal, and Encendia.

 

From my experience, West Lakeview usually stocks Mad Meg, Petit Prince, Noble King, and Black Metal Stout. I've never come across anything else there. I read that they're getting Encendia at some point, but they weren't sure when... not sure if it will be available for sale at tomorrow's tasting, but one can hope.

 

Please post publicly. I first learned JK made it to IN a couple weeks ago and that was a surprise.

If people are looking for Das Wunderkind and other 'semi-regular' lineup JK beers, an Austin person can probably help you out. I'm trying to slow down my trading right now however.

Why don't you just call the store and ask?

 

They've had the Farmhouse Black Metal but not the Stout Black Metal, as far as I've seen before. The bottles look very similar and the labels are almost identical so it's an easy thing to mistake.

 

When I called them earlier today, they said have Mad Meg and Noble King available.

 

Oddly enough I've seen jester king in Chicago liquor stores Idk where in IL you are but that might be an option. We hit up some spots after the binnys black Friday event when I saw it. So I take it now that IL doesn't get JK and it may have been a tad illegal lol.

 

Black Metal is their stout, a few years ago they used to make it with English Yeast (referred to as OG Black Metal), now it is the "farmhouse" version of it as they ferment all of their beer with their house farmhouse yeast, bacteria and wildly captured yeast, but it is still a Stout. The OG Black Metal has not been in production since late 2011. So yes, the Farmhouse version is Black Metal Stout.

 

Sipped an OG the other night, and it's righteous right about now. Unfortunately, I'm running low on stock, and bottles floating around are almost nonexistent.
