Jester King

Seek a brew, bro!

 

I'm pretty sure they're all over the state. I know every craft store I've been to has had them, but I've mostly been pretty far south of Amarillo. D/FW, Austin, Houston and San Antonio all have Jester King, and someone said they got some in Nacogdoches.
Probably doesn't help much, but if you're up for a drive, JK is all over the metroplex

How would seekabrew help him find where IN Texas? I think it only tells you its in the state in general.

I was in Amarillo this past November and did not see any JK. Your best bet will be United Market Street on South Georgia St. Amarillo has very little craft beer presence beyond Market Street and a couple of liquor stores that carry a few things.

I do recall someone posting that JK could be found in Wichita Falls of all places.

 

Not much, if any, Jester King makes it up in that area of the state...primarily just the major metro areas get distro. Very doubtful you could find any Jester King anywhere near Amarillo....

I doubt you'll find Jester King or any good craft beer in Amarillo. There's a small possibility that one of the big liquor stores in Lubbock carries Jester King, but you'll have to call around to find out. Last I was there I didn't see any but there's now a new Spec's there so it's possible.

 

There is some good craft beer in Amarillo. You just can't be too picky. IIRC, they had a much better selection of Rogue beers in Amarillo than what we get in Austin. Market Street has a decent selection of craft beer. I remember seeing good amounts of Boulevard, Rogue, Breckenridge, Oskar Blues, etc.

 

I did not see any JK anywhere last time I was in lubbock.

 

Amarillo? You >might< find Southern Star and will definitely see Shiner Bock... but I'd imagine that's all she wrote for Texas beer.

They don't drink too much of the "fancy" beer in that part of Texas. It's a BMC world up there in the panhandle.

My cousin lives in Lubbock and apparently DFH 60-Minute IPA is one of the fancier selections he can get, lol.

 

No problem man, I emailed them to ask for some other locations in that area for you. Their database relies a little on people asking for their stuff to be added I think since they are a really small brewery.

If you ever make it to Cali I know they have JK beer now too. If you want though, Id be happy to figure out a trade with ya some time.

 

Sooo OP. Where did you initially post this, as I suspect the thread got moved by admin?

 

If you pass through Lubbock I'm pretty sure that the Spec's there has some of their regular lineup. I don't think any of their limited releases make it that far west yet though.

Just called my friend there and he says Spec's actually doesn't have it yet, but the World Market in Lubbock does. That's interesting.

 

Yep.. Specs has hit Lubbock now.. so that is helpful.... but I doubt they get any of their more limited releases...
