Got a few bottles of this tonight and plan on opening one tomorrow, anyone had this yet and what are your thoughts ? I loved the previous ones so hopefully this one is as great if not better.

I had it at the release party @ Euclid Hall @ GABF a few weeks ago. Again, they have made an amazing beer. It is still a bit "warm" so I recommend holding on to some to see how it mellows with age. I'm picking some up myself so I can do a 6 yr. vertical around XMAS!

I had one last night and posted that, that was what I was drinking. It is a type of beer you want to just put some on your tongue and swirl it a bit before drinking cause its pretty insane as far as booziness. One bottle should last you a couple hours. I loved it and as you, I loved last years version. It's listed as an american strong ale which is a catch all category but thats ok. I do not know what I was tasting but I knew I kept wanting more so, that said, I highly recommend getting on it and maybe sharing it with someone and especially since its cooler out now, it will warm you up for sure! I taste some chocolatey goodness in this beer too. MUCH bitterness too!! I've brewed with an insane amount of hops in a brownish type ale and this beer reminded me of it.

I loved it the mouth feel and taste were great to me... After first I was like wow, this really hides that abv well I am shocked its that strong (this was mid swallow) followed by ooooo their is the alcohol. I do think over time this will mellow out and the flavors will blend nice, I just have yet to decide how many I want to store/try and get...

I am always down with the Jewbelation series. I have been on the lookout here in SoCal but nothing so far.

They're really starting to get up there in ABV... it's starting to get interesting (in a good way).

In Ohio the abv is listed at 11.9%, something tells me they fudged that number to get here. And that's awesome.

Or they cut it back, to avoid losing a license. The risk is not worth the gain, either way they got it their! cheers

Man I kind of doubt that. It would be extremely difficult to put out similar products with a 4.1% gap in abv. I could be wrong but I know other breweries have gone similar routes such as dark horse with double crooked tree and founders devil dancer.

could they have made a special batch that they blended with a weaker beer just to sell in states with an ABV restriction?

So just finished my first glass of this out of snifter and you guys were right about a nice warm "burn" to it. It has lots of that dark fruit kinda burn to it with a ton complexity with the malts. Probably should be sharing this beer but I'm selfish and drinking this bottle to myself haha But over all another excellent Anniversary brew from the He'Brew line. Definitely worth grabbing a couple bottles, one to drink and one to age.

Found the Fifteen last year by coincidence and immediately loved it. Was rather hot, but that was part of its charm. Had one fresh and one eight months later. The latter was sooo smooth. I have one left but still kicking myself for not having picked up more when it was so abundant. Best big beer for your $ IMHO. $6.99 for a 22oz? Yes please! I'll take a case this time around, thank you!

It's a great beer every year. The only one I didn't enjoy was their Funky Jewbilation. I still have 6 of the XV in the basement. Had one recently and it's drinking great. Really looking forward to getting some 16

I really wish I would have purchased a couple of those vertical gift sets a couple years back. Sweet baby Jesus, please bless me with a X-XVI vertical of Jewbelation.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought 15 was a big ol' mess. I enjoyed 14 much more. But at the price point, can't really complain and def worth a try.

They relabeled the Fifteen in markets were the ABV was too high, the sticker peels right off to reveal the correct 15% ABV. I have had a bottle of each, one bought online from CBX (15%) and one bought here in store (10.9%), it's the same recipe. I'm assuming the Sixteen will be the same way, as it's slated for GA arrival.

Bought a case of the 15 last year. Planning to buy a case of 16 this year and every year going forward. We'll drink one bottle from each batch each year. Imagine the vertical tasting of 15-20 a few years from now!

I grabbed a bottle last week. Love the creativity of this brewery and been
having this series for many years now.
Fascinated to see how it tastes.

Maybe should grab another bottle for Hannukkah?
