Greetings Texas BA's (and all you other folks), I have some relatives coming from Arlington to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Any suggestions for a great bottle shop in or near Arlington, that would carry JK sours? I obviously don't expect more than distro stuff, but that would work. They are beer savy, but not sours drinkers.. Cheers!
Some of the regular stuff might still be around like wytchmaker, noble king, prince but most stuff is brewery only, there wont be any of the fruited sours. Specs or total wine is your best bet.
Potager's keeps distro stuff in stock. I believe it's the "other stuff" store...not the restaurant. http://www.potagercafe.com
Best bet is for them to venture to Fort Worth or Arlington. I think the stock at Potager's is old stuff now, at least it seemed to be last time I checked there. Last time I was at Craft and Growler in Dallas they had some decent JK stuff, the Specs on Hulen in Fort Worth also tends to get a decent stock from time to time of their stuff.
Wytchmaker can be found at some places now, that is going to be the closest to a sour you can find in distro, and its a great beer, as is the farmhouse Noble King.
