A friend of mine had been telling me about John Harvard's in Framingham and how they had gotten a new head brewer a few months back and the beers were good. He grabbed a few growlers and we drank them and just WOW. I tried the DIPA Lunar Sunrise and Brando IPA and both were super juicy. Right up there with the big boys in the area. Definitely worth checking out if your in the area.

I'll have to give them another try since the brewer that made the Beer Works in Framingham worthwhile left and the beers are suffering. Maybe John Harvards can reclaim the upper hand between those two. Havent been in a over a year as the last visit was bad.

Do you know where the beer works brewer went? Loved what he was doing there.

The current brewer at JH Framingham formally worked at the Beer Works location. He also brewed at the Manchester JH Location before being turned into Tullycross Tavern

I was there last night and had the bouncing Czech Pils and the Improbablility IPA. Both really tasty beers.

Did he leave that brewery in CT? Was only quoting his exact response in a thread last May.

Regardless, I stopped in JH today. Menu was definitely heavy on the IPAs and the two I had - Lunar Sunrise and Improbabibility - were phenomenal for the juice bomb style. If you like juice IPAs that aren't one note, these were first class. I'd say Lunar Sunrise was better than a couple of the last trillium IPAs I had. The wife had a "west coast style" IPA that I forget the name of but it was a nice showcase of pine with citrus notes in the back.

Had Infinite Improbability the other night and really enjoyed it. No shortage of great new England style juice ipas in Framingham right now

Contemporary Dance (the DIPA) was great too. Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo and Columbus.

Interesting. Back East is generating good buzz in CT. Wonder why the turnover.

That is interesting, and definitely good for JH. Really enjoyed his stuff at Beer Works.

Impressive for this guy to anonymously generate buzz at multiple breweries. Nobody can ever accuse him of simply coasting on the name/rep/hype of wherever he's at.

I really enjoyed his Beer Works brews.

The rumors are true! It was a short stint at Back East but I did put Intergalactic Lupulinary on the right track as well as brew some fun beers like Unicorn Farm and Ice Cream Man (that are going to continue on as brands for them and seem to be getting a good buzz) during my time there. JH is a great outlet for me personally as it really lets me run with any beers I can come up with...and I've got a lot of ideas that I really want to play with so stay tuned.

Is there anywhere I can see a current list of what's on tap at JH Framingham? The website doesn't seem accurate.
