I had a John Harvard's location a few towns over from where I live that was there for a good 20 years before it closed last year. I used to really enjoy going there with friends at happy hour for $3 pints and 1/2 priced appetizers. The location has since been taken over by a split Shake Shack/Chipotle establishment. Now I stumble upon this thread to find out that they've hit their second wind.

    Life's a bitch sometimes, huh?

I can't speak for every location, but I think that they mostly brew onsite for each one, and this is just the Framingham location that's hitting things out of the park. As far as I know, most of the stuff that's getting the attention isn't sent out to the other locations.

Maximum Oatverdrive is amazing. Azacca/Citra/El Dorado juice bomb.

I was literally trying to decide whether to go grab a growler fill or make due with what I have for the weekend. This put the nail in the coffin.

Regular Brando is already my favorite IPA outta the Framingham area... I'm excited for this.

Too bad they don't have pre-filled aluminum 16oz recyclable growlers also offered.

This might trigger the black-market/resellers, and lessen the inconspicuous

I popped in for DDH Brando last night, and I have to say, it was pretty good, but I think I like the standard better. The DDH was a bit more floral and grassy, still good though.

None Shall Pass was fantastic, btw. Balanced sourness with and excellent nose and flavor, similar to what the brewer described, IMO.

Thanks for always posting their new offerings, @M-Fox24!

No worries, and thanks for the feedback. Was a little bit worried “None Shall Pass” was gonna come off a bit/too gimmicky, in the sense that one would be consuming a raspberry popsicle/smoothie. Regardless, hoping to get my hands on it soon + looks like they have a well-rounded line up: stout, sour, amber, blonde

Contemporary Dance 2, Another Dimension, and the latest batch of Brando are all fantastic.

I need to move from Framingham for the sake of my health. There are way too many excellent options for beer.

That bottle is sexy, too. Cool to see how legit of a beer destination JH's has become with @xerotime at the helm.

Was just there yesterday. Wish I could remember more for you. No Brando on right now – menu said new batch was coming 12/20-something). But they had Infinite Improbability which is equally good – it’s the Brando base beer but features El Dorado hops instead. They also had another juicy 5% pale ale that I always forget the name of that I like. And I think Contemporary Dance – their excellent DIPA – was on. Their house pale was on cask with pineapple. Their pils was on which is solid…

I have always enjoyed visiting JH between Framingham and Harvard when we lived in Watertown. But man it sounds like they have reached a new level. It's great to see the brewpub still be able to pump out some great beer! I remember and article on Boston.com maybe 10+years ago and it was about the head brewer being a woman and a story about her transition with work. I was really rooting for her to find success! Fast forward to now and it's amazing that they are still cranking out great beer in Framingham!
