http://msn.foxsports.com/college-fo...-creates-manz-ale-beer-at-ohio-brewery-052314 Johnny Football fan creates 'Man'z Ale' beer at Ohio brewery FOX Sports MAY 23, 2014 11:00A ET Andrew Weber / USA Today Sports College football sure will miss Johnny Manziel, who made Texas A&M games must-watch events. Aggies fans: If you still want to soak upJohnny Manziel mania, now you can. Literally. After the Cleveland Browns selected Manziel in the NFL Draft, one enterprising fan in Ohio came up with an idea. He liked beer and wanted to create a Belgian-style golden ale, so he went to The Brew Kettle in Strongsville where he could make his own brew. All he needed was a name and a label. So what did he decide? Johnny Man'z Ale. "I got a lot of people who want a bottle," Chris Slavin, a 33-year-old machine technician, told Ohio.com's Beer Blog. "But I'm pretty sure it's totally illegal to sell them. I made them for my own personal use." Here's a good picture of the custom label: Slavin told Ohio.com his only goal from this experiment is to get "a job in marketing and drink one with Johnny Manziel." Good luck, Chris. Keep doing yeoman's work.
I imagine it tastes like everything related to the Browns is. Full of disappointment and sadness. It's probably not even beer. Just bottled tears of the fans and some bodily fluids from Art Modell. If someone wants to overnight me one I'll be moving to Baltimore soon.... You can just send it there. I will not send you anything in return. I'm sorry, it was just to easy...
Wow. We should hype this beer up and talk about it all day before we know if it's going to be any good.
I wonder how many breweries passed on making this beer before some brewer jumped up and said, "why not, it can't be worse than what I've done in the past."? I have to guess about 21......
For those that don't know or didn't read the article, this is more or less a homebrew made at The Brew Kettle.
