Bottles are out at the Ann Arbor brew pub of de Viento coffee sour Saison. $18 each plus tax, can't wait to try it.

I hate coffee, but I want a bottle on principle alone.

And if it makes it to the TC location I'll buy one, if for no other reason than to help contribute to the tornado relief fund a bit.

I love JP, but that sounds terrible.

It was really tasty on draft. Very much enjoyed it.

    Oddly compelling.

My thoughts exactly. Coffee in a Saison? That sounds... worth trying once maybe?

Damn tasty bottle! Way different and better than I thought it would be. Pretty sour.

Is this going to be sent out for distribution at all? If not, ISO!

I haven't tried the bottled version, but I had it on draught at the Ann Arbor pub. It sound like a bad idea, but tastes so good. I'm going to have to pick up at least one.

I tried this on draft in early July at 7 Monks (Traverse City) and wasn't a huge fan. I like coffee beer, usually like JP, but found it very strange. I'm somewhat curious to see how the bottle version turns out.

This sounds incredibly interesting. I'll have to try to snag one.

I just had it on tap at Sugar House, it was pretty good although not something I would seek out. Can anyone say if the bottle is significantly than the tap?

    First thoughts:

    Coffee + sour = :stuck_out_tongue:

    Coffee + saison = :stuck_out_tongue:

    Coffee + saison + sour = :stuck_out_tongue:  :stuck_out_tongue:  :stuck_out_tongue:

I love JP as well, but I have to be honest it doesn't sound the least bit interesting to me. It just sounds gross. I wouldn't put any of the two components together, let alone all three. My bar is set really low for this one. On the flipside, considering this, it shouldn't be hard to impress me.

I tried it on tap in Chicago a couple months ago compelled by sheer curiosity alone.

Wow...fantastic brew. The coffee was present but not over whelming. A saison first and foremost...some tart up front and nice coffee earthiness in the finish.

    Give it a shot

Will this be distributed at all? Sobre was around for quite a while, so I kinda regretted driving to the brewpub for it.

Yes, but very limited distro. I think it's pretty amazing myself. Had to go back to the sugar house a few times for it.

Im pretty sure they said it was going to be when the made it originally.....or maybe just bottled Im not sure now.

I had it on tap at JP in Ann Arbor a couple months ago and I really liked it. Very different then anything else from them though, which I though was good because if you had to come up with one thing to gripe about with JP is that their beers can taste pretty similar at times.

Do you know if this will only be distributed in MI, or will it go to other places in limited distro like OH (hopefully)?

After sobrehumano, don't think I will be buying any more "special" releases from JP.
