Just saw from the Jester King blog that Jolly Pumpkin (Bam Noire, Bam Bière, and Maracaibo Especial) are available on draft with the Maracaibo for sale in bottles. Haven't seen any in stores yet, but I'm hoping it will show up soon. Glad to see them here.

Thanks. Is that type of info available publicly, or do you have to wheedle it out of a buyer?

It was originally next week but was pushed back.

I do not know if July 14th is the day it shows up at stores or if it is the day that it shows up in the warehouse for distribution. I heard it as in stores that day....but could be wrong.

Don't sleep on the Oro de Calabaza when you see it. Pick up one, if not three. Beautiful beer, nicely tart for summer.

Up in MA Jolly Pumpkin stuff all seemed to be 20+ bucks a bomber. Didn't pick any up, knowing I'd see it in Texas soon enough.

Maybe I'm off, but I remember most being in the $10-15 range in my experience.

Yup, same here. It usually is not that much ($20).

Yep. JP sits in that 10-12 price range with the odd seasonal or special release closer to 15 or 16.

I picked up Maracaibo in Chicago for about $13. I thought it was worth it :grinning:

I have a 2012 Oro de Calabaza and Fuego del Otono that I never want to drink and would trade to any of you for almost anything.

    100% Srs.

So now that JP is here and some folks have had a chance to try them out I'm curious what everyone thinks?

Was delighted to have some Jolly Pumpkin on tap at Jester King. Tried the Oro de Calabaza for the first time and it was glorious.

Went to Hopfield's for the JP rollout yesterday and really enjoyed Oro and Bam Biere. I've had most JP's before but it's so nice to be able to drink them whenever now. I need some more La Roja in my life too, it makes my pants tight.

Jolly Pumpkin has always been one of my favorite breweries. Their beers are basically always available in the markets they are in, some people might complain about the prices but when compare to others in the same vain they are reasonable. Just had Lupulo De Hielo on cask at Hay Merchant and it is excellent. Oro de Calabaza is one of my favorites anywhere. They have kept doing their funky thing since about 2004, what is not to like?

For me, most of the JP that I've had has been way over carbonated and too grainy. Not much depth and all around mediocre to me. Maybe we will get some new stuff that I haven't had and will like but the stuff we just got doesn't have me very excited. :slight_frown:
