If anyone goes and happens to win any of the bottles below, shoot me a BM if you're interested in a trade. In particular the P1, as I have been after that for a long time...

Biere de Mars Grand Reserve | 12oz | ?yr
    Biere de Mars Grand Reserve | 330ml | 2010
    Cinco Anos | 750ml | 2012
    La Roja | 750ml | Oval Label
    Perseguidor Batch 1 | 2006

Are you aware of what these fetch at auction? I went two years ago, and the auction had ended before I got there, and the cheapest single bottle went for 85 bucks. Some big spenders show up for sure.

Yeah, there prices tend to be high. I think a lot of that had to do with the proceeds all going to charity. Still, I wish I could make it.

Curious to hear what that Perseguidor goes for. That and the Sobrehumano are the only ones that scream "rare" to me. The rest are just aged.

Buddy and I shared a Madrugada Obscura from 2011 that he picked up off the shelf from a store close by...for $14.99. Damn good, but not $85+ good.

Sobre at least saw distribution. Those grand reserve bottles are gems. I'd love to get my hands on the BdM GR bottles. Those would be my second choice behind the perseguidor.

I'd dig deep into my cellar if I ever found a P1 that was available.

Most stores have "aged" jolly pumpkin because the stuff just sits there.

I just wonder why they would hold this auction during a weekday...Seems they would get more people and make more money on a friday or saturday...jmo

JP Grand Reserves are insanely good and can be a challenge to obtain. The Biere de Mars 2012 (or 2013; forget which) was probably the most sour beer I have ever had. The 2014 La Roja GR is also simply tremendous.

It's been on a weekday for as long as I can remember. And, from the prices I've seen, they do just fine on the money. With such a limited selection, I don't think it really matters what day they have the event.

LR GR is probably my favorite beer all-time. I'm sad I'm down to three of my older bottles. The 2015 bottle didn't wow me as much, but I'm hoping it smooths out with age...

Cracked open a bottle of P1 a year or so ago, and it's pretty far gone. An acetic acid bomb.

The majority of Bam Biere's I buy from stores are 2013.

Based off the reviews, that's about what if expect. It's just a box over wanted to tick for a long time. Some boxes are better left unchecked, I guess.

Agreed 100%. In fact, most JP's don't actually age that well (ducks & covers).

P4 & P5 are still OK, but early P's and the vast majority of pre-2010 GR's have gone downhill (save that freak of nature BDM GR 27 month, that thing is awesome!!)

I need to get around to drinking what I have.

But then it will all be gone. :slight_frown:

Bottles ranged from $25 to $125. Most went around the $40-$60 range. Lambicus Dexterius, Perseguidor 1, and Sobrehumano went somewhere between $100 and $125 along with a 2004 first batch Oro. 100% of proceeds did go to charity.
