Well the cat is finally out of the bag...

My 2 cents, I think JP will be a great addition to the Austin market. Full disclousure, I've yet to have beer one from them. It's just that I find a brewery making more "rustic styles" a more interesting entry to the market than the 100th "Microbrewery" making a lineup of pale ale, blond ale, hefe and (bad) IPA.

You should have stopped by WhichCraft yesterday then - we opened a bottle of La Roja from them and just had it sitting on the the counter for whoever to try.

I don't think the issue is that you don't like the beer, it's that you said the beer isn't actually good. Personal taste is one thing, but trying to act like your personal taste equates to a world renowned beer being low quality is what bothers people. They're not trying to be the most sour or follow hype, they're just making damn good beer that fits their style well and is easily drinkable. I'm sorry you can't understand that.

"World renowned"? C'mon, don't be dramatic. Its good, but lets keep things in perspective.

Personally (my opinion!) I've never been wowed by any of their beers, but I've only tried 3-4 of them, so I'm open to trying others to see if any of them make me want to touch tips.

Chuck! I have a few bottles I can open. We're having a bottle share on Sunday at 3pm at Draught House. If you come, I'll bring them!

Not for everyone, but I'm very excited by this news. One more great brewery making its way to TX.

La Roja is probably the most interesting from their regular lineup, although when i tried them i didn't had much knowledge on farmhouse ales, maybe now is a good time to revisit all of them.

thats exactly what I thought of, threw a couple of 2011 La Rojas in the fridge that I had been hoarding. JP was always a brew I looked forward to picking a few up whenever I was in Louisiana.
